Finished 3 books for #JoyousJanuary (thanks for hosting @Andrew65) but made little progress on last 3 this weekend (forgot about the playoffs and home team in it)- took this idea from @Enchanted_Bibliophile (thank you) and StoryGraph #JanuaryPagesChallenge for 50 pages a day - will do this for rest of month to finish some books up - I am enjoying all of them but at the end of a work day tend to not read as much!
Make a great day everyone -🏈
I don‘t know where to start with how much I absolutely freaking loved this book!!!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Kaz and Inej, Nina and Matthias, Jesper and Wylan so tragic, ruthless and beautifully flawed. All the twist and turns of the heist and that ending!!!! Will be starting the next book tonight. This book is on my must reread list 📚📚📚
I do not think I will be finishing any other books this week - as the ones I am reading are longer and I go back to work -
Thanks for the fun activity for December @Andrew65 @DieAReader @GHABI4ROSES
#WinterReadathon - these were my two favorite reads for the month -
Happy New Year everyone - make a great day - 🎉

I hate to say it, but this novel was fantastic. NGL, I didn‘t have high expectations for it, especially because it took me almost a week to get through the first chapter, but wow. I loved it. The storyline, the characters, everything was well-written. I loved how the characters‘ conversations flowed well and the banter between them was incredible. I haven‘t read fantasy in quite some time, but this one definitely gets me wanting more.
I'm going to watch the TV series as I think it would work in that format. The book I found just dragged on, there wasn't any dramatic tension and the author really struggled with getting emotion into their writing.
For today's #scarathlondailyprompts, my favorite criminals.

Finally finished Six of Crows! Not gonna lie, it took a while for these characters to grow on me. Just when I was about to give up (around page 200) the story grabbed me and I was glad I pushed through! Each character fills their role perfectly, the group is well-balanced and the change in POV as well as bits of everyone‘s background woven into each chapter was really unique and intriguing! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️4/5
Right now I‘m working on finished Six of Crows (harder for me to get into than I expected) and also hoping to start Notes on an Execution for my #LitsyLoveWritesNBooks group!
#alphabetgame #letterS @Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks On that same note... I enjoyed the six of crows books more. I absolutely love the characters and heists. Its very well written.

#LetterS
My pick for the letter "S" is, Six of Crows. I also loved:
Station Eleven by Emily St. John Mandel
Seveneves by Neal Stephenson
The Seven Husband's of Evelyn Hugo by Taylor Jenkins Reid
Scythe by Neal Shusterman
I finished my #reread and I have to say I still love it as much, if not more, as on the first time around. I had forgotten most of what happens in the first half so it was almost like reading a whole new book. Very happy to have read it again! #translatedbooks
There were a few but this came off top on my mind! #includesamap #artfulaugust @Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks @Eggs
It‘s finally here!! I‘ve been craving a Six of Crows #reread for a few months now and when I saw it was getting published in Finnish this summer I decided to wait for that. I can‘t wait to dive back into Ketterdam and see how everything is translated!! #translatedbooks
Wasn‘t a book for me.
Glorious reread before I FINALLY read its sequel. Only took me like six years to get around to it. Thankfully the written word doesn‘t really go anywhere. The first time I read it, I was on the couch at Easter and when I finished, my step brother was staring at me like I had two heads. Apparently he had noticed when I started and was stunned when i finished it in front of him like 2 hours later. I love doing that to people. 🤭
I don't know about any of you but Leigh Bardugo did not have to go this hard with this quote or this man's backstory.
Changes in points of view can help or hinder a story! 👀 What do you think?
1. Depends on the author‘s skill, but I have a weakness for multiple POVs.👇🏻
2. I love multiple POVs when we have ensemble groups! Especially doing something, like a heist.
3. Tagged! I love how each POV gives us more information on the heist and motivations, how each person thinks.
#SundayFunday Have a fantastic day and remember to tag me so I can see your posts! 💖
I seem to be emerging from my reading slump, and finally have enough books in one month to make it worth doing a reading wrap-up!
The middle row are my favorite reads this month, top row are solid picks, bottom row were just okay.
I so enjoy her writing. She draws you in and curls her adventures around you. Kaz puts together a crew to accomplish the impossible. In the process they begin to understand one another and grow stronger.
Meet Mona + Lisa! #MonaLisa
Yes, 2 of the 4 rescue kittens extended their stay indefinitely at our cat hotel. 🥰 #catsoflitsy
It took me ages to finish the last 1/4 of this book, because I had accidentally come across a spoiler and I was dreading it happening. However, I LOVED this book and the duology and can‘t wait to read more books set in the Groshaverse!

I‘m really glad this book lived up to the hype! I started it a few years ago, but quickly realized I should read the Shadow & Bone trilogy first, so I put it down after the first two chapters. Glad to finally return to it. Love this band of misfits and outcasts. ❤️🔥

Enjoying an iced latte with a book this afternoon! I‘m hoping I‘ll have enough downtime to finish it today, ai definitely see why this is a hugely popular book!
Really enjoyed this YA fantasy. Fast paced with great characters!
Loved this one. Good character development. Already started the second book!
Absolutely loved this YA fantasy, set in the Grishaverse, but with new characters and after the events of Shadow and Bone. I loved the whole crew and the heist. Fast-paced and fun! Already have the sequel on hold at the library.
Leaving for Orlando on Friday morning and all that I‘ve packed so far are my books 🤣 📚 #priorities #airportsareboring #impreparedforanything
Great YA fantasy! I‘ve been meaning to read this for a while and it did not disappoint.

Reading a few pages on the way to this afternoon‘s quiz bowl matches. This book was recommended by one of my students a while ago and I‘ve promised to finally read it before the end of our season.

I‘ve finally decided to jump on the bandwagon. I‘m very excited!
A little haul :)
I don‘t buy many new books but decided to treat myself from my wish list
Book 36
I've loved every second I've had with the Crows and I truly believe that this is a masterpiece. Leigh did really well with it and the emotions were SO REAL!!
R.I.P Jordie Rietveld
Just finished it. What are your thoughts on it? Any favorite characters or scenes?
I really enjoyed Inej's character. As well as Jasper. I loved that it gave a bit of background information of everyone in the group. You get to see who they were before and now and you can see how it influenced them to have to change.

I have three books in progress:
⚫️ Six of Crows - Reread, enjoying my second time through.
⚫️ And They Lived Happily Ever After - only read one chapter so not much to say yet.
⚫️ A Flicker in the Dark - BOTM, very intriguing, love a book featuring a psychologist who needs help themselves, makes for twisty reading.
#WeekendReading @Andrew65
This was a re-read for me but I didn‘t love it any less than the first time I read it. The characters are absolutely amazing and I loved being able to read their interactions and adventures again! I highly recommend this book to anyone who loves adventures and fantastic heists in magical worlds. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
As requested by @TheNeverendingTBR here is the tattoo from the book… I‘m getting the second books Crow tattoo on my other leg as well 🤗🤨📖
I guess the hype was real with this one because it was a lot of fun and I really liked the concept, it was very engaging and unputdownable.
The characters were excellent, but there was loads of them and the story is told from several different points of view; sometimes I got confused to who was who but I always got back on track.
The dialogue is witty and there's loads of action, can't really ask for more.

Van Eck‘s gaze locked on his. “You‘ve seen what this drug can do. I assure you it is just the beginning. If jurda parem is unleashed on the world, war is inevitable. Our trade lines will be destroyed, and our markets will collapse. Kerch will not survive it. Our hopes rest with you, Mister Brekker. If you fail, all the world will suffer for it.”
“Oh, it‘s worse than that, Van Eck. If I fail, I don‘t get paid.”
