So I figured I might as well keep my #TBRCleanup going for the variety, alongside my #LeastRated 😊
Out of the 10 left I think I'll try to finish the tagged book first, because I was reading it the most recently, then I think I'll try The Fire Queen because it's been half finished for the longest...
But it's me so I'll probably read something entirely different just because I can 😅
#wrapup for the month of #july this month was fairly slow because of Alex and Eliza but ive already finished two books for August so im making up for it. The highlight of this month was clockwork angel which i gave 4⭐️ then I read the sequel in wings of fire which i gave 3⭐️ finally alex and eliza which i gave 1⭐️ August is going to be all about #fantasy im excited
I made it! Just... 😊😎
5 books finished (all started beforehand; I'm good, but I'm far from that good!) and two more well and truly dented!
I'm almost half way through Annihilation, and I knocked another 130 pages off the tagged 😁 Not bad for a weekend's work.
My #TBRCleanup selection is looking much better now too ☺️
Got a few more hours in last night but found myself flicking between books (and going off script with Pride and Prejudice for an hour😊).
Hoping to put a dent in the tagged today, and maybe finish off one or two of the remaining Little Black Classics (A Cup of Sake..., How to Use Your Enemies, and The Eve of St Agnes).
I'm working today, but weekends are the quietest time, so should have time for #24b4Monday😊
i loved Tessa‘s character development and i hope that continues throughout the series. It was a very good opening novel it may be hard for the author to answer all the questions she introduce because every question she answered she brought another three in. Regarding Will the book touches on his history I hope the series continues otherwise he‘s gonna get annoying to read because how am I supposed to feel bad for him if i don‘t know what happened
So something i don‘t understand about Tessa‘s character and maybe someone can explain it to me is that she is dumbfounded by women who fight and where pants “women dont have those sort of feelings... warrior feelings” but then at the same time is frustrated when people tell her she cant do stuff because she is a girl (see page 96)
“One must always be careful of books,“ said Tessa, “and what is inside them, for words have the power to change us.” ― Cassandra Clare
1) tough question, I think my friend Sophie. We met at university about 20 years ago.
2) no idea
3) freshly cut wood reminds me of childhood, firewood, helping in my grandfather's carpentry shop,...
4) finished the tagged book a few days ago

I'm between a Pick and So-So.
It was entertaining enough to keep me going while making my daughter a skirt from scratch, and up past midnight preparing Cinnamon Rolls (my neighbour's had her second baby and mentioned a craving for Cinnamon Rolls yesterday - it's a surprise, so don't tell her 😁). But, I saw the plot twists coming from a mile away.
Not sure whether I want to read the next in the series.
Well trying to get a good picture on a moving train isn't working 😅
Anyway, the next book I pulled out of my bag is this bad boy 😊 Already loving Tessa's attitude and Will's sarcasm. Its definitely started strong for me so I'm hoping it keeps it up. First 100 pages devoured, 385 to go 😂

Honestly, are these not some of the most gorgeous book spines you‘ve ever seen?!? I definitely liked this trilogy better than TMI, but I still kinda want to buy TMI so I can have more gorgeous spines to display on my shelves 😅😅😅 #bookwormproblems for sure!

?️My TBR pile has been put on hold for the foreseeable future (well until I finish all of Cassandra Clare's books). #bingereading
Wow, I'm amazed its been so long since I posted here! I have a good few reviews to post but for now here's my current read.
I'm enjoying it but it's set in the Victorian era but the language isn't quite right and I keep forgetting. Also, Will feels like a copy of Jace from The Mortal Instruments and i keep picturing him.
But I am enjoying it ☺️

This post is both about and not about reading ⛸📖 I‘ve been trying to start Clockwork Angel for two weeks, but have been busy training for Sectionals, which was yesterday! A little disappointed I didn‘t qualify for Nationals (by
Which should I read next!? I‘m slowly working on King of Scars, but want another book that‘s a little faster/I can binge :) And for a third option, I also just picked up Escaping from Houdini, but have read some mixed reviews and am a little unsure. Please help me out! 😎📚
I loved this book. It was my introduction to the world of Shadowhunters and I was impressed. The descriptions help you to really imagine the world and I really did not see the surprise at the end coming. Beautifully written.

If only you guys knew how much I love this series. I don't think that I have ever loved a series (Harry Potter excluded) this much.
Cassie Clare is really a master since she created the Shadowhunter world.
Also, Will Herondale is the love of my life. He is such a precious being.. agh I can't even write about him without being sentimental.

I have been trying to finish these books all month, and I am just not feeling it. Could it be that I am just not in the mood?
I have tried to start the clockwork angel, for ages. Just can't seem to focus enough to stay with it. And you would think I would have finished Pollyanna ages ago. Since it is a quick read. I keep finding myself stopping.
Should I stop all together, and read something else? Go back to it?? I need advice
