Amiable Ugh! I had rotator-cuff surgery about 10 years ago. Do you have a recliner? That was the most comfortable place to sleep for the first 8 weeks afterwards. 6mo

JenlovesJT47 Ugh I‘m sorry! I have labral tears in both shoulders (and possibly my hip I dislocated 😣) so I know it‘s rough. Wishing you a successful surgery with many excellent books to keep you company afterwards. Dunno what I would have done all these years if I hadn‘t been working at an ortho doctors‘ office since I was 13 😆 (my mom works there still!!). 6mo

TheBookHippie @dabbe I had frozen shoulder, but it‘s a lazy boy- friend currently borrowing -it but I made sure the material didn‘t make me too hot! 6mo

Amiable @TheBookHippie @dabbe I commandeered my husband‘s for the duration, to his dismay. 😄 I think it was a La-Z Boy also. We don‘t have it anymore. Which arm are you doing? Make sure that you can reach the lever with your good side! 😬 6mo

Amiable Oh, also make sure to have a selection of big shirts that button up the front because you won‘t be putting your arm through a sleeve for a while. 6mo

JenlovesJT47 @dabbe thanks for asking! A dislocation didn‘t show on x-rays so I had to get an MRI. Seeing the doc next week. He thinks I might have a labral tear in my hip. That would be my luck for sure! Crutches kill me so I‘ve altered my gait & walk on my tiptoes on that side. Not fun. Sorry, that was probably more information than you were looking for! 😅 6mo

Amiable And ask the surgeon when you can start PT —as soon as possible to avoid frozen shoulder if you can. Ask about passive PT where the therapist moves your slack arm around for you. 6mo

Chrissyreadit ugh! No Bueno!!! I was able to use PT only for mine (thankful no surgery)and agree good PT is huge! hope your pain is not too much 6mo

Bookwormjillk Oh no! I agree with @Amiable on the rehab. It‘s torture but helpful torture. My other suggestion is to get yourself a back scratcher. Hope you can get it taken care of soon! 6mo

CBee @dabbe sounds like when my GYN told me to “ride it out” after I explained all of my menopause symptoms. Butthead. 6mo

kspenmoll Oh no, I am so sorry! I have shoulder surgery that entailed more than rotator cuff, & I was “older so recovery longer” ( plus it was on right side; I am right handed) but now I am so much better! Cleaned up arthritis, bone in bone while in there as well. You can do it! 6mo
