AnnCrystalNo...not during your Birthday Month. 🙏🏼 Heal well 💝💝💝.10h
AmiableUgh! I had rotator-cuff surgery about 10 years ago. Do you have a recliner? That was the most comfortable place to sleep for the first 8 weeks afterwards.10h
dabbe@Amiable No, I don't. 😩 Think I'll have to start looking for one. 😅10h
JenlovesJT47Ugh I‘m sorry! I have labral tears in both shoulders (and possibly my hip I dislocated 😣) so I know it‘s rough. Wishing you a successful surgery with many excellent books to keep you company afterwards. Dunno what I would have done all these years if I hadn‘t been working at an ortho doctors‘ office since I was 13 😆 (my mom works there still!!).10h
AmyGYour primary doc needs a better bedside manner! 🤣10h
dabbe@JenlovesJT47 Are you just living with your tears? 😱 I can't even imagine. And what can be done with your dislocated hip? Do you hope it pops back into place? 😱 I'm feeling for ya! 💙10h
dabbe@AmyG He's a wee bit younger. The bastard. 😂10h
lil1inblueOh, my! 😱 I hope that the surgery goes well and that you heal swiftly! But hopefully, you'll get some good guilt-free reading time!10h
Amiable@TheBookHippie@dabbe I commandeered my husband‘s for the duration, to his dismay. 😄 I think it was a La-Z Boy also. We don‘t have it anymore. Which arm are you doing? Make sure that you can reach the lever with your good side! 😬10h
AmiableOh, also make sure to have a selection of big shirts that button up the front because you won‘t be putting your arm through a sleeve for a while.10h
ShelleyBooksieOh no! Boo on doggy related injuries! Sending you healing vibes ♡♡♡10h
JenlovesJT47@dabbe thanks for asking! A dislocation didn‘t show on x-rays so I had to get an MRI. Seeing the doc next week. He thinks I might have a labral tear in my hip. That would be my luck for sure! Crutches kill me so I‘ve altered my gait & walk on my tiptoes on that side. Not fun. Sorry, that was probably more information than you were looking for! 😅10h
AmiableAnd ask the surgeon when you can start PT —as soon as possible to avoid frozen shoulder if you can. Ask about passive PT where the therapist moves your slack arm around for you.10h
AvidReader25I‘m so sorry! Praying the surgery goes well!10h
Texreader🙁 I sure hope you‘re doing ok and that surgery is successful. I hear it‘s all about the rehab.9h
Chrissyreaditugh! No Bueno!!! I was able to use PT only for mine (thankful no surgery)and agree good PT is huge! hope your pain is not too much9h
BookwormjillkOh no! I agree with@Amiable on the rehab. It‘s torture but helpful torture. My other suggestion is to get yourself a back scratcher. Hope you can get it taken care of soon!9h
CBee@dabbe sounds like when my GYN told me to “ride it out” after I explained all of my menopause symptoms. Butthead.9h
dabbe@AnnCrystal I think it's “Woe is I“ because if you put the sentence in the correct order of subject before verb, you say, “I am woe.“ Now that I've just done that, I should have said “Woe AM I.“ I need to review my grammar! 😅9h
dabbe@Texreader You instantly reminded me of Amy Winehouse's “Rehab.“ Obviously for very different reasons. TY! 💙🩵💙9h
dabbe@Chrissyreadit We'll see what his final opinion is, but the fact that there are two tears makes my primary doc think surgery would be better. Based on the f-in' big beautiful bill, I better get this done soon. 😅 TY for the kind words, m'dear. 💙🩵💙9h
Read4lifeI‘m sorry, Denise. Did you at least get an apology snuggle from Pip? It sucks you have to wait so long for your appointment. Please keep us updated. 💙💙💙4h
AnnCrystal@dabbe go with the original & just say you're being whimsical 😂👌🏼💝💝💝.2h
LiseWorksOh boy! This sucks. Please keep us updated. Sending lots of 🫂1h
Obviously for very different reasons. TY! 💙🩵💙 9h
