I honestly don‘t know what‘s wrong with me, but multiple times throughout the story, all I could think was “ OMG, how cute!” Only thing I would have changed was with the plot twist at the end of the book. Didn‘t mind the twist, but I did mine that we just breezed by it after the fact. Could‘ve used a little more closure on that, but besides that, freaking amazing! 10/10 recommend, but please read your trigger warnings.

I don't get the hype or why this even has a mainstream publisher. Was it popular on Booktok or something? You can find better self-published books on KU. Dark? Please, there's zero depth or emotional attachment so it doesn't feel dark. Romantic? The courtship is more painful than the torture scenes. Comedy? A light tone and irrational characters isn't enough to make it funny.

pickI honestly could not conceptualize what this book would be like from the (completely accurate) description. I thought it was going to be a splatterpunk smut fest & while when it was spicy; it was absolutely filthy… that was such a small part of the book. It actually had a lot of heart, charm & wit right along side the accidental cannibalism.

pickI had avoided this book because it wasn't sure I'd like the graphic nature of a serial killer story. Somehow the author humanized the characters and writes a fantastically funny and engaging plot without the reader becoming too horrified. I'm going to read the sequel, and for me, a serial first book reader, that's a compliment.
pickI have some issues with the male narrator, but that is in no way the author‘s fault. The books was AMAZING! It had this snark, with just the right amount of tension. Even when it seemed like their HEA had arrived, she threw another corkscrew (literally and figuratively) in there just to keep things interesting.

pickI enjoyed this for the dark humor but I definitely get why this won‘t be for some people. Lots of body horror and murder details as you would expect in a serial killer romance. I picked this up based on the cover and the premise.
Started this today while taking my grandma to an eye doctor appointment. So far it‘s as fun as the authors dedication/content warnings implied.
pickNot exactly my usual cup of tea, it gets pretty gory and is spicier than my normal read…but I still read it in about 24 hours. I‘m a sucker for a good love story. And two psychopaths who find each other and fall maddeningly in love fits the bill. Book #109 in 2024

pickI have to admit I was terrified to read this book! I heard about the long list of triggers & warnings. I was pleasantly surprised how much I loved this book! Yes, there were parts that made me grossed out & parts that made me question myself for liking this book, but the banter between the main characters & the spicy parts of the book made up for all the not so enjoyable parts! Highly recommend, but read those triggers before diving in!

I‘d just started this in October & wanted to finally finish it since it was a #Roll100 pick clear back in May that I never got to.
I give it a pretty soft pick—I wanted more humor, less angst & more background on the killers they kill & growth from the characters. It‘s dark & pretty gross in parts with likable characters, but it felt hollow to me. Still, I already bought Book 2 on BOTM, so I‘ll probably read it.⬇️
I‘m getting paid to read at work (while internet is installed in our new office after a fight with the customer service team so I‘ve earned it).

pickWhoa. That was #dark. And surprisingly funny. Lots of violence and gore and 🔥🔥🔥 scenes. Couldn't put it down once I got going. Definitely a #bookrecommendation for those who like their romance a little twisted. Also, it's kinda hard to tell, but there's definitely #blood on the cover.

so-soThis is a romance book with serial killer trappings. That aspect is treated like a quirky part of their personality rather than a driving force in the book.
When it is featured it's gory for the sake of being gory and disturbing. I would have preferred to focus on how they found them, verified they were killers etc Rather than the violence but that's a personal preference.

pickThis was a #blamelitsy read but hilariously was something a coworker was reading at the same time and so has now become an office by-word. I liked it! Dual narrators, good banter, fresh premise. Did I mention the male narrator has an Irish accent in the audiobook? 😂
About serial killers who kill other serial killers and fall in love via a serial-killing-competition, so consider for your October reading pleasure if you need some raunch.
pick⭐⭐⭐⭐ This book was different! I loved the narrators for the #audiobook version and feel they added a lot to the entire reading experience. From the git go, with the trigger warnings, it was quickly obvious that this was not a book for the faint of heart or the prudish. It would include lots of violence, loads of sex, plus an immense amount of descriptive and explicit language. And that it did, in addition to heaps of snarky humor! ⤵️
pickThe banter and romance were good, but the plot was meh. I didn‘t seem to love it as much as many other people, but I did still enjoy it, mostly. I‘d like to read the other two at some point, but I won‘t be rushing to them.
pickI hesitated on this book because of the hype it received… well I can now say I really shouldn‘t have.. it was a great plot with really good characters … I enjoyed reading it and look forward to the other book in this series … also I really hope that Austin Butler plays Butcher in the movie 🤗

pickWow, what a wild ride!!! Two serial killers hunting serial killers and making a game of it. This book was intense and very spicy!! Several times I was thinking oh no that did not just happen!!😳 I am horrified by cookies and cream ice cream now too!! (Iykyk) Great suspenseful read and I throughly enjoyed it!!
so-soTwo serial killers bond over murder and their annual game, eventually falling in love and trying for a normal-ish life until a previous kill comes back to bite them in the ass.
I loved the humor and the backwardness of rooting for the serial killers.
Some of the dialogue was terrible and, while I‘m no prude, some of the spice went a beyond my comfort level.
so-soMeh, I really enjoyed the first half, it was like a twisted romcom, the banter made me laugh and the gore was fun but the smut was really bad and I found myself skipping past it. The second half dragged a bit but that could be just me losing interest tbh. Nice twist at the end I didn‘t see coming tho. ⭐️⭐️⭐️ would have been better without the smut
so-soOvercome with FOMO after positive Litten reviews I read these back to back guffawing out loud at some of the entertaining killers‘ scenarios. I should have put some time between the two since I enjoyed elements of B1 more than B2. I‘ve adapted to spice in my reading but these exceed my limits on what I find entertaining - how to unread the B2 epilogue 😳. I‘m going with a so-so but I‘ll still likely read B3 for the youngest brother‘s story.
