Very very good book. Needs to be known it‘s for high high young adult readers. While there aren‘t any trigger warnings that need to be prefaced it‘s definitely on the cusp. Very heavy, very sad and then you celebrate the last 30 pages. Love the glimpse inside the palace also!

2nd book of 2024! So far have read some really great fiction with solid plot lines. Adored all characters in this and love that their were different point of views intertwined! Six-thirty has my heart and made me squeeze my pups extra tight💓

WOW. Down to the last chapter you really had no idea what was going to happen. Anyone else really believe Eva got off the flight? Her character was painted so elusively I thought she for sure slipped off with ease. Also Danielle was another surprise character, although after that many years watching another woman get abused I can‘t imagine what that does to a spirit. GREAT READ!

Mshookquilts I certainly was hoping 8mo

One of the best feel good books. Flora is a beautiful soul and I love the characters that rallied around her. Dicamillo connects nature straight to the feel goods!

WOW. What a twist at the end. This was an easy, captivating read. I truly didn‘t flip my image about rose until 85% in, the MOM OVERDOSING really took me. I knew it didn‘t make sense!! Fern was a PERFECT character and the way she was written was beautiful, same with Rocco/Wally

Very quick read. Very heavy read. Very important that you memorize this family tree before beginning! A lot of characters with very deep scars loved seeing them back on the same side of the creek. Also omg Vonetta had me sobbing and I was worried sick 🤕

This book was such a unique piece of history I am glad I was able to experience. The store she wove using this crazy story is beautiful, tragic and heartwarming. Reminds me of a Disney movie, truly. Will say it took a bit to pick up and start really going but definitely glad I read!

I have SO much I could say so I‘ve opted for ✨simple✨ Isabelle was a fighter and had the most beautiful personality that helped her survive such cruel circumstances. Vianne was a women pinned in a corner and still defied orders and still saved those babies. And Julian? Simply a father who realized his responsibilities too late. Yet they remained and were stronger because of it. What an absolutely devastating and beautiful book all at once.

While an ‘easy‘ read this was so well written it makes time travel feel believable. The love story between Dante and Abby was beautifully tragic and I‘m dying to get my hands on the second work. Side note: Jason as a bf? So incredibly dull.

I‘ll admit this book started off slow, and eventually I downloaded it on Audible. Which 10/10 have this story ready to you. So worth it. Anyhoo the entire time I was pissed. Caleb Fang is the ultimate definition of douchebag and Camille is so brainwashed. I truly believe she loved Annie and Buster but was so desperate for his approval that she let them walk. Oh my god Annie and Buster. Talk about resilience. Talk about 2 badass kids. AMAZING PLOT

Ok wow 6000/10 I was enthralled with the Pierce story from page 1. I truly believe Phoebe had no clue what was going on, she just accepted her role as foolish and that broke my heart so when she left I cheered! One thing for sure, I don‘t think that Noah‘s death should have only covered 2 pages. I really wish she could have said goodbye but that was probably the point😂

The Widow of the South | Robert Hicks
Pickpick

This was truly one of the best historical fictions I have ever read. The way Hicks makes you feel like you are actively a part of the Civil War at the Cranton plantation. Only thing I‘m disappointed about is that Zachariah was not actually real, his storyline was extremely compelling.
~ also gross gory fact, at the plantation apparently there are still blood stains engrained in the wood in the surgery room that are impossible to get out!

I have been trying to think of the fair review I was going to give McLains novel but I can‘t decide! It was VERY slow and you could feel Hadley becoming more and more exhausted at Hemingway‘s BS and by the end when he killed himself I found myself saying thank you, he just wasn‘t good. And low key the entire time after Hadley lost all of his work I wondered if it was intentional 🤷🏼‍♀️
