I loved this. I love plants, so learning about all the terrible ones has been a ton of fun. My ADHD brain really appreciates that the information is handed to you in small educational chunks unlike some other reference books. Definitely recommend if you have any interests in plants or devious nature.

I forgot to post this when I got it. I was so looking forward to this when I heard about it on the Noble Blood podcast. The ending was so disappointing and left me completely unsatisfied. She‘s writing a sequel so I hope she ties up the loose ends and elaborates on an event that happened in this one. I still recommend it but not as excitedly as before.

Ya‘ll…this book is fantastic. I went into it thinking it was a retelling of Frankenstein itself, and while it is a retelling, it‘s more of a steampunk retelling of how Mary Shelley came up with the idea for the original story. If life wouldn‘t have gotten in the way, I would‘ve finished this way sooner. It was a struggle to put it down. If you have a love of Frankenstein or steampunk, I recommend giving this a chance. #thismonstrousthing

This pulled me out of my book slump! This was all around a wild ride. I‘m devastated at the ending of this case and the fact that this didn‘t get as much news coverage due to a lot of mishandling. If you‘re into serial killers, this is definitely one to add to the collection.
