I felt so seen reading this! I relate to so much of it, and even managed to find words for certain experiences I‘ve never been able to describe. From the discomfort of tights and dresses, and not liking them letting down our mothers to the let down and struggle of puberty. I know some people felt this book was disjointed and confusing. This is what the inside of my head is like, so this made total sense to me.

GingerAntics If you‘re questioning, if you‘re wondering why it seems everyone is so sure of themselves, this is such a vital book. That you Elliot Page for writing this. #ElliotPage #Pageboy #audiobook #ReadByTheAuthor #nonbinary 3d

Amiable I‘m so glad you found a book that speaks directly to your heart and soul! This is why we read —to find ourselves.💙 3d

kspenmoll Books are the best way to feel connected with others. Love to you my friend! 💕 3d
GingerAntics @Bookwormjillk they really are! 2d
GingerAntics @Amiable I think this has been a long time coming. I‘ve read two books by trans and nonbinary folks this month and both brought out childhood memories I‘d long since buried. It feels good to brings those back out into the sunshine. 2d
GingerAntics @kspenmoll they really are… it‘s sad that these same books are turned into something so divisive. If this isn‘t your jam, don‘t read it. Easy as that. 2d

That moment when you‘ve been looking for the words to describe this weird feeling and doesn‘t make sense, but does, that doesn‘t make sense to other people who have never felt it. 🤯🤯🤯 Thanks Elliot.

GingerAntics @TheBookHippie I‘ve been thinking of this as the moment the dream died! lol When he said this, it clicked so hard. I couldn‘t quite place when this happened, but he did perfectly. I knew the dream was dead, but I held on for another year until there was no other explanation. 2d
GingerAntics @AnnCrystal @dabbe the day the dream died… the 90s were a wild time. Our vocabularies were so limited. 2d
TheBookHippie @GingerAntics yup. It‘s so good to feel seen in a book. I‘m so glad this book did that for you. 2d
GingerAntics @TheBookHippie I feel like I‘m getting closer to myself. It does feel nice. 2d

Picked and read Isabal Cañas' The Possession of Alba Diaz for Hispanic Heritage month #goodreadsreadingchallenge and done with coloring the usual suspects.

4.5⭐️
Definitely uplifting for the vast majority of us. The truth about the history of the SAT and ACT were shocking. I think there is still a certain privilege to his claims because not everyone has the ability to just move out change jobs. I think he does acknowledge some of this, but just barely.

GingerAntics Even early achievers apparently end up considering themselves late bloomers by middle age in a lot of cases. A slightly different spin on grit at the end, but makes valid points that there are limits to this. Mostly uplifting and a nice positive read. A good read especially for educators and parents, or anyone who cares about the children in their lives. #RichKarlgaard #LateBloomers #audiobook 3d

10% in and this is beyond insufferable. Tell me you‘re a privileged white man without telling me you‘re a privileged white man. Face book is a catastrophe, but you still have stock in it (so you‘re still profiting off of the catastrophe). You wrote this book while J&J was swamped by lawsuits over harm done, but you cite them as how this catastrophe should be handled.

GingerAntics I‘m sorry, he‘s just as back as Zuckerberg, especially since he was so easily convinced (no one even asked him) to drop his op-ed. This is not the man to write this book. This is more of his memoir of privilege than anything. Tell me more about, how as a white privileged male, you didn‘t like not being listened to, while still profiting off of what you saw as an issue. 🙄 Tell me more about the BILLIONS you‘ve earned. 👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻 3d
