So much fun! I enjoyed every minute of this funny, heartfelt summer romp and the Alexis Rose inspired heroine at the center of it. Can‘t wait to read the next book in that series! The perfect vacation read!

Enjoying this great romcom with an Alexis Rose-like heroine. Perfect vacation read! #travelingreader #poolside
I like Brendan's kind of grumpy characters because it was clear from the beginning that he was actually kind and nice. Piper was naive but she had a big heart.
This cozy small town with fishermen and people who had always known each other was sweet and lovable.
The beginning was especially good and there were several scenes that made me laugh! I am not a fan of insta-love, it felt unbelievable.

Sparks fly when LA socialite, Piper, is cut off by her stepdad and sent away to remodel an old run-down bar where she meets a rough, tough, insanely hot fisherman. I must say, I was not prepared for all the SPICE in this novel. I mean, wow! Opposites attract / brief enemies to lovers tropes. Can‘t wait for Hannah‘s story! 🤩
My February book report! ACOTAR and People We Meet on Vacation were probably my top favorites from this month! ☺️
After dragging myself through the first three chapters, I ended up really enjoying this and happily the next volume is out in a couple of days… how cool would it be to read it while I still remember character names? 😂
Starting to work my way through my library stack before they're due back!
Here are my main plans for the #JoyousJanuary Readathon, which I‘ll be starting early because why not! 🤩🥳
I‘m most excited for my plan on to read the complete Series of Unfortunate Events, possibly in a 24 hour period…. But I also have my 2 #Roll100 picks, my #FoodandLit pick, and some holds that recently came in. I would also like to make a good dent in my 100 Graphic Novels, and 100 Children‘s Books in 2022 challenges.
Let‘s do this! 🥳
I have a WHOLE WEEK off work and aside from a few appointments and some chores around the house I have no plans except to READ READ READ! I‘ve already bailed on 2 books this month, and may be close to DNFing The Ballerinas, so I‘m switching to something lighter to get this show on the road! #JumpStart2022
We just went to the library so my son could return a Nintendo game and get a new one. I was happily surprised to find a bunch of #newyearwhodis holds waiting for me! Can't wait to get started on these!
Oooh this hit ALL the right romcom notes. Cute banter? Check. Heartwarming hero/heroine? Check. Just as heartwarming side characters? Check. Spice? 🌶🌶🌶🌶 check!! The ONLY thing my enemies-to-lovers loving heart needed was a little bit more opposites-attract banter before we settled into the i-want-you phase, but damn, once we settled in there I was one happy camper. A delightful, adorable, heartwarming romcom about finding yourself ♥️. ★★★★☆.
This was such a sweet, sexy read. Adored the characters and cannot wait for the second book to come out so we can see Hannah‘s love story
This book was adorable, full of sunshine, romance, and an adorable main character who takes life and makes it what she wants. Piper is such a happy character and Brendan isn‘t, he‘s grumpy and hates change but they make it work and I love Tessa Bailey‘s romance novels. The only think I didn‘t love was the miscommunication troupe at the very end so I‘d say 4 instead of 5 stars, had they just talked it out we could have avoided the last 30 pages!
So much fun and spicy! 🌶 🌶🌶 #audiobook 🎧
I love a grumpy sunshine trope and this book was absolutely awesome.I thought Piper would drive me nuts with her influencer “job” and lack of real world experience, but I loved her optimism and ability to relate to anyone. She was a fun match for a very set in his ways fisherman. The dynamic between the two was sexy and hilarious at times too.
This book lived up to all the hype and I‘m so excited I‘ve already gotten my greedy fingers on book two.

The internet delivered this one in abundance when I asked for a grumpy protagonist romance.
…what does this preference say about me? Don‘t answer that lol

Such a delightful, steamy book! Loved the nods to Schitts‘s Creek and The Deadliest Catch. I will definitely read more from this author.
Another one done! This one is loosely based on Shitts Creek the character of Alexis. A socialite having to learn to live in a small fishing town. Lots of smut as Bailey does. It‘s good, classic Tessa Bailey book.
I decided to squeeze in one last summer read. Perhaps I should have waited because the plot - spoiled LA rich girl banished to her Wash St. birthplace to learn how the common folk live - didn‘t fit my autumnal reading mood. The locale was fun, MCs alright, side characters nicely set up for a continuing series. However, it was a bit too steamy for my reading pleasure (no pun intended), and just bad timing on my part.
This book is extremely cheesy, which is something I happen to love in a good rom-com. So I enjoyed it. The wrap up seemed a bit too quick for me but who doesn‘t love a couple that helps better each other? Grumpy guy vs sunshine girl. Classic.
So I read this series backward since I read Hook, Line & Sinker first. I have to say I loved this first installment more. I appreciated the characters more and felt the genuine connection that played out into the second installment in more depth. It‘s a quick romance and a fun read. It gets a little dirty, but nothing to extend to erotica. It was such a fun, cute read!
No better time to finish a book than when the power is out! I truly think I‘m obsessed with Tessa Bailey‘s writing. Main character Piper is big Alexis Rose energy, so funny!
5/5
This book is so, so fun. The main character, Piper, has strong Alexis Rose from Schitt's Creek vibes. Piper has to return to the tiny fishing town where she was born after causing a small scandal. She connects to her roots and finds there's more that she wants in life that to be an influencer, including a grumpy fisherman.
The books I read in August.
Happily ever after playlist, It happened one summer, Beach Read, and People We Meet on Vacation- 5 ⭐️‘s Final Girls- 4 ⭐️‘s Last Summer At The Golden Hotel- 3 ⭐️‘s #augustwrapup
I had to pick this up after reading a review mentioning Schitt‘s Creek vibes… and boy does it deliver. Much steamier though… ❤️
My first Tessa Bailey book and instantly a fan! The backstories of the characters were very well developed. The ending was predictable, but overall it was a great read.
I actually really liked this. Yes it was super cheesy; she was a spoiled brat; he grunted a lot. But it was an escape from reality (school and work have been rough), and that‘s just what I needed. A nice summer read 😊
⭐️⭐️ 💫
This book is cute and dirty, but also pretty cheesy and a bit cringey. The conflict at the end was overly dramatic. I thought it was going to be a fun summer romance at first, but it went downhill for me. I‘d better get back to some thrillers! 😂 🎧
First read of August. This was a really cute spicy rom com. The heroine was inspired by Alexis from Schitt‘s Creek. A great summer read, very low conflict. 4⭐️

I go from one genre-kick to another. It was crime-fiction there for awhile, but as I‘m reading It Happened One Summer, it‘s making me want to read more contemporary romance. I am loving it! And to be honest, I love the “cartoon covers.”
Husband and son are out of town; daughter is at work; it‘s just me and the dogs, coffee, and this book (which I bought yesterday and started reading instead of adding to my giant tbr pile). Happy peaceful Sunday 😊

I liked the male MC, but the female MC was too much of a spoilt Instagram starlet for me. I'm sure she'll get a character transplant somewhen in the last third of the book, but I'm not sticking around for it.
A friend said she felt it was@longer than it needed to be, but I disagree; enjoyed this highly, so much heat!
Cute rom-com that really puts you in the summer mood!
Breaktime at work. I'm starting this book and eating a banana.🍌
Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Super cute and fast read. I really loved the character development of both Piper and Braden. The town was cute and I loved all the side characters. I laughed a lot and just loved it. Pick this up on 7/13/21!

5/5 for this one! I loved this steamy romantic comedy. Piper and Brendan are so cute together. I love their banter! Their romance is super hot! This story just warmed my heart and was just what I needed! Thank you Netgalley and Avon and Harper Voyager for sharing this review copy with me in exchange for an honest review!
This is being described as being inspired by Schitt‘s Creek. That said I now have high hopes for this because it‘s obviously Alexis/Mutt
