This book is filled with life, death, difficult moments and ones that will make your toes curl. While I was very excited for demon smut, I was more impressed by the way the author handled the topics of self harm, cancer, infertility and grief.

I liked the premise of this book and loved the ending, but it ended up being a little heavier than I expected. Part of the heaviness was more personal to me, which certainly made it harder, but without fail, as I had that trigger while listening, I saw a beautiful rainbow all the way home.

This book was gifted to me by one of my best friends and it is heartbreakingly beautiful. It deals with death in a way that would allow parents to explain it to children of all ages. After the loss of my own cat in 2014 and a terrible 2024 which included the loss of my own father, it was a welcomed read that brought me to tears halfway through. Grief never leaves us, but it helps to have resources and support along the journey.

This book was similar to the others in the series, with a Hallmark picturesque winter setting, the same sweet town of Dream Harbor and potential love interests. As much as I like the series, this one was harder for me to get through. I absolutely despised Kira the FMC for about 45-50% of the book. I read this book bc the MMC was sweet, kind and definitely fit the Dream Harbor vibe.

This is another perfect example of why Christina Lauren is my absolute favorite writing duo and writers. I laughed, I cried tears of sadness and joy. I was left with the warmth that only they can provide in another beautifully written book.

This is my first Elise Bryant book and I very much enjoyed it. I enjoy mysteries and romance so this was a welcomed purchase for me. I do wish there were a few more twists in the book and that the ending was a bit more wrapped up, but I‘d give it a solid 3.7 ⭐️s.

I really loved this book and the concept of Monsters Inc. for husbands. It was nice to see a lighthearted take on dating and relationships while also acknowledging that we all have quirks and will inevitably not love everything about our person.
