In November | Cynthia Rylant
post image

November was an alright reading month for me. Didn‘t love most of what I read, but I‘m glad I read as much as I did. Super happy I finally finished Hold Still after putting it down in 2018. All Creatures Great and Small was a perfect listen for #audiostitching

Finally finished the tagged while almost finishing the next Christmas gift I‘ve been working on. I thoroughly enjoyed this calming, wholesome memoir about a vet in the English countryside learning the ropes in the 1930s. Was surprised by all the drunk driving, but apparently it was legal until 1967 in the UK 🤷🏻‍♀️🥴 #catsoflitsy #audiostitching #crossstitch

#audiostitching #crossstitch

This was a detailed and very well researched book (especially for it‘s time). While there are a couple of contradictions and a one or two points I disagree with, it‘s definitely a pick. I learned a lot and am glad to have expanded my knowledge.

I thought this #audiobook was thoroughly entertaining. I may have liked it better than the previous book, despite the absence of the bird character. It's only 2 hours ish. I got a lot of #audiostitching done without really noticing the time flying by.

Just finished stitching the captains for my Trekkie SIL! I still need to wash and iron it, so excuse the wrinkles. I was too excited to wait to share it since I know a bunch of you were interested in my latest nerdy project 😁 #audiostitching #crossstitch #startrek

I‘m participating in #NovelNovember and #33by33, so let‘s add another readathon! Stack ‘em all! My goal for #AnyWayYouReadathon is to spend 30 minutes each day #audiostitching (I‘ve been wanting to get back into cross-stitch…. Hopefully this will be the nudge I need).

Thanks for hosting @kimmypete1 @Eggbeater and @MidnightBookGirl

Weekend plans! I‘m making very good progress on the Trekkie pattern for my sister in law. My latest #audiostitching listen is All Creatures Great and Small. Trying to finish Hold Still finally- recently picked it up again after putting it down in 2018 🤦🏻‍♀️. Something about it makes it hard for me to read even though I‘m loving it. I think it‘s the nostalgia I have for my time living in Virginia in my 20s

wanderinglynn Ooh love that Star Trek pattern! 🖖🏻❤️ 4w
sarahbellum @wanderinglynn I found the pattern on Etsy. It‘s going to make a perfect Christmas gift for my sister in law 🙂 4w
ozma.of.oz Sisko my love! ❤️❤️ This is amazing! 4w
sarahbellum @ozma.of.oz Thanks! I‘m really pleased with how it‘s turning out. I loved stitching Sisko‘s facial hair ☺️ 4w

It was good but I was expecting great because of the hype. #audiostitching

Mehso-so

I did not enjoy this book. Theo was super pretentious / precious and I couldn‘t decide if Powers was being darkly comic or too earnest. One more description of their meals and I‘d have bailed. On the other hand Eduardo Ballerini‘s narration was excellent. #audiostitching

JamieArc I enjoyed the book, but I had similar thoughts about the boy. He seemed to “special” or “golden child” or something to me and I couldn‘t figure out if we were supposed to take it seriously. 1mo
