Let the tardiness continue! 🥳🍾🥂

I genuinely *DID* want this to be the year of organization, mindfulness, and *planning*... of being *prepared*... and I know it still CAN be... but being a perfectionist always throws a wrench into the works and I get paralyzed. I wanted to have beautiful written journal spreads, but here we are. Better late than never! 😁

Above are more of the #readingchallenges I plan to participate in this year. Yay! 💜📚

MatchlessMarie I still haven‘t figured out all mine yet 😆 thanks for reminding me about Series Love! 1y

Always fashionably late to the best Litsy parties in town 😉🥳🍾🥂

Be prepared to see plenty of catch up posts from yours truly for beginning of the year reading plans that I procrastinated on because I a) was too overwhelmed by all the fabulous options and b) let the pursuit of general holiday coziness take over my life. Planning kinda went out the window. I regret nothing. 😁🤩 More to come!

#goodreads #readingchallenge #readinggoals

Clwojick You‘ve got this! ❤️❤️ 1y
ravenlee Nothing wrong with doing the planning and setup the first week! 1y
Librariana @Clwojick Thank you for the vote of confidence! ☺️ I've also got my first Pantone read and it was a lovely feeling to be able to complete my first prompt 😁 1y

At the start of my lockdown (24 March) I decided to keep a list of all the books that I started and finished within my lockdown and as that finished today as I go back to work tomorrow these are the books that I completed. 33 books in total!

To see all of the reviews on them use the hashtag #lockdownlist

TrishB Cool 👍🏻 4y
ravenlee Woohoo! Well done, and good luck going back to work. 👍🎉 4y

TrishB Hope work went ok today ❤️ was thinking about you. 4y
Birdsong28 @TrishB Thank you ❤️❤️ It went ok most of the customers were understanding and kept their distance. It was nice to see my friends again as well. There is a room available if we want to get away from work if it gets too much that isn't the break room so we can have quiet time. All safe for colleagues (and customers) as they want to make it all easier for us to get used to 📚 📖 4y
TrishB I‘m glad it sounds like they‘re looking after you. Take care ❤️ 4y

Last night I decided I would start to keep a list of all books I read during the lockdown. I have some books that I will be finishing off during this time but I won't include them as my criteria is books that start and finish since I went on lockdown on the 24th March till the end of lockdown so I am posting of a picture of my current list when I started and will post my final list on my final day of lockdown to see the final number.

Birdsong28 I will use the hashtag #lockdownlist on my reviews so you know which ones they are. See you on the other side. 4y

Hmmmm - this is a TOUGH challenge from The Fussy Librarian on FB.

At the moment I'll have to go with:

Toni Morrison
John Irving
Douglas Coupland
Octavia Butler
Mary Roach

CouronneDhiver Ooo - Mary Roach is fun! 5y
CuriousG @CouronneDhiver - I'm a sucker for a good Mary Roach! 5y
revenge4porgy Nora Roberts, Allen Ginsberg, Kinky Friedman, Gore Vidal, Meg Cabot, etc. 5y
CuriousG @revenge4porgy Nice list! Hard to sum it up in just 5, isn't it? ☺ 5y

Welp, since there‘s no sign of baby yet I can‘t quite break into my new parenthood listography.com journal, but could get started on the literary one. Such beautifully illustrated books with creative categories to capture everyday life at your own pace. E.g. I‘m excited to keep track of some of the things our incoming kiddo will “pretend to do and be.” And perhaps I‘ll spend some time reflecting on my high school reading days...📚 📖

Reviewsbylola These are so cool! 5y

Here‘s a fun one. What books would you include?

Captivatedbybooks Lol i used them for the hobbit and the scarlet letter 6y
LiteraryinLawrence Faulkner‘s The Sound and The Fury. Lots of characters had the same names, some of it was stream of consciousness... it was really confusing. 6y
PenguinInFlight I used them for my Shakespeare literature class in college...my professor taught in the original English only (no footnotes or translations), and I had a hard time figuring out what the hell was going on most of the time. 6y
See All 12 Comments
WorldsOkayestStepMom I used them for The House of The Seven Gables 6y
BarbaraBB Ulysses and Beckett! 6y
JenP @BarbaraBB yes! I have never used Cliff notes but I did use a giant annotated guide for Ulysses 6y
AshleyHoss820 Anna Karenina or A Clockwork Orange! 😄 6y
OrangeMooseReads Anna Karenina just to keep characters straight lol also The Dubliners (edited) 6y
BarbaraBB @JenP I used Shmoop. I always do that with the hard ones 😉 6y
LeahBergen Infinite Jest?? 😂😂 6y
britt_brooke @LeahBergen The Cliffs Notes would probably be 600 pages, lol! 6y

First list in honor of yesterday‘s Valentine‘s day. Which books would make your list?

JenP I don‘t really like romance-heavy books so this is a challenge for me 😬 6y
JenP @ErickaS_Flyleafunfurled that sounds pretty good. 6y
diovival That's a tough one! I got nothing. My friend recommends 6y

I got this cool journal/book to inspire some blog posts. It‘s pretty cool with many different types of lists (they provide the list topic and you fill them in).

I‘ll share a few pages over the next few days and you lovely Littens can join in and create some great lists!

It has a listing on the litsy library!
Going to find this page so hard to fill because my reading journey is far from over. Why you do this to me @Verity 😂
Edit: my toddler just tried to colour it in...may have to keep this up high...😬

Verity I know I got it for you but I wouldn‘t be able to pick either - I‘m terrible at deciding favourites. 6y
laurieluna @Verity I honestly think I'm going to leave this page blank until the last. One of those bucket list things when I'm old and finishing up stuff. Then I can leave it for the kids and/or grandkids to look through. It really is lovely! 6y

Between an active (non-reading) trip with Mr. B and planning the #Booked2018 Challenge with my co-hosts, I‘ve been slacking on reading time. I‘m also super bummed that I didn‘t read even ONE diverse author this month. First time since I joined Litsy. Gotta get back on track for December. #novembersummary #monthlystats

Gezemice This looks really good to me! :) 6y
TricksyTails All I can focus on is the extraordinarily cute background in your photo! I need it! 😂 6y
BarbaraTheBibliophage @TricksyTails I use a sweet little app called Over. I upgraded to their premium version and the graphics are amazing. Not sure if this one is available in the free, but it might be! 6y

Check it out! Another list just appeared in my feed...this one from the Vancouver Sun Times. And don‘t ask me why I get emails from them?!? I honestly don‘t Know!!!
And Beartown made this list too!!!!
I‘ve read less from this list....

Kalalalatja What is the list based on? Sales numbers? Personal attitude? 6y
Cinfhen I think this list is personal preference, the Amazon list I'm not sure about. @Kalalalatja 6y
Kalalalatja @Cinfhen that makes sense, because there are a lot of these I haven't even heard about. 6y

Jess7 I like the cover of the child finder! 6y

Cinfhen Stranger is definitely not on my top 10 list, sure it was a cool story but the writing was meh & it was very short! You know HUNGER is on my top 10 @Reviewsbylola 6y

I love making lists... I'm not quite up there with the main guy from High Fidelity but I'm close. So, in no particular order, my top 5 favorite books.
1. It-Stephen King
2. Matilda-Roald Dahl
3. The Great Gatsby-F. Scott Fitzgerald
4. Wicked-Gregory Maguire
5. Pride and Prejudice-Jane Austen

This list could change at any point, possibly even later today. What are your top 5?

Something I love more than books? MAKING LISTS.
With that said this book is perfect for those of us who find pleasure on organizing our thoughts, books and lives into lists. It has beautiful illustrations and is well-organized.
