Tense and gritty revenge plot thriller following Sadie as she hunts her sisters killer and West McCray as his podcast follows Sadie‘s trail. ‘In Mattie, Sadie found a sense of purpose, a place to put her love. But love is complicated, it‘s messy. It can inspire selflessness, selfishness, our greatest accomplishments and our hardest mistakes. It brings us together and it can just as easily drive us apart. It can drive us.‘

Okay, we were a little late yesterday uploading the podcast (cut us a break! we're busy rabbits!), but it's up & beautiful & featuring the ever brilliant Moses Utomi: Writer. Fighter. Lover (I mean, he's super dreamy ☺️). Tune in as host Brian Birnbaum chats with him about speculative fiction & his time spent kickboxing across China: https://www.deadrabbitsbooks.com/podcast

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I enjoyed this book and so glad I got the Audio version! It was neat listening to the back and forth of the POV of Sadie and a news investigator/podcast type style. Murder mystery which I don‘t think I‘ve ever read. Overall I enjoyed it and it was a fast read.

britt_brooke I really liked this in print but I‘ve heard the audio is fantastic. Glad you liked it! 3d

I'm stopping both of these at the halfway point. Front Desk I really like but my digitally library loan expired and it disappeared, hopefully I can finish it later in the summer. Sadie, for all the amazing things I've heard, isn't quite what I was expecting. My favorite part is honestly the cover art. This is just going to a dark place I can't handle right now, and I'm not interested enough in the mystery or the writing to get me to keep reading.

Megabooks Definitely love the cover of Sadie!! 3d
LazyDays Yeah Sadie felt like a horrible heavy punch to my stomach. 3d
TheLudicReader I loved Sadie, but can understand why it would make some readers uncomfortable. Courtney Summers never pulls any punches which is why I love her so much. 3d

Our IRL book club just celebrated our 10 year anniversary, and for the first time ever, all 4 cohosts were in one place to record an episode! We talk a little about the Good Omens mini series, a little about the theatre, and a lot about being earnest. So...I don‘t listen to their podcast and I totally missed this was a self help book. I was expecting true crime. Since I‘m not already invested via the podcast, it‘s a book by two gals with mental illnesses talking about their lives and how they got here. It has some tips but they repeat they aren‘t trained in anyway to give the advice they give. I think you might have to be a fan to care about this book. #readwomen #audiobook

Funny, heartwarming, honest, did I mention funny? This was a great peek into the lives of these interesting and relatable women; they are brutally honest and I loved their view of the world and their candor. Highly recommend! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
