Needed an easy to read romance and Olivia Dade delivered! This is my first book by Dade, and I will definitely continue the series. I loved the fat representation!

It wasn't until the end that I realized this was an unauthorized biography. There were so many parenthetical statements throughout the book that I found them to be annoying, but I learned a lot about Stevie Nicks and her songs! I wish she would write a memoir.
My first collection of poems from Atticus, despite following him for more than a year on Instagram. Such beautiful prose and imagery!
"Don't waste a second of your time convincing other people you're worth loving."
Solid pick for Crichton fans!
If you want a short, easy romance, this is your book. I was hoping for something a little more dramatic I think. The passage of time is hard to follow in the beginning, with weeks passing in the space between paragraphs, but it was a sweet little romance that ended all tied up with a bow.
"to describe myself as fat is not to describe myself as ugly, lazy, worthless, or undesirable." ??
This was a reread for me, but I had forgotten almost all the poems.
A beautiful story of a female Jewish scribe in the 1600s who grapples with philosophical questions and stops at nothing to find answers. This is a dual timeline book, so it also follows Helen Watt and Aaron Levy, historians, as they uncover letters and documents written by the scribe.
Aubrey Gordon lays out her arguments using scientific research and anecdotal evidence to combat myths about fat people.
I bought the book because I wanted to learn about bees and this is jam packed with information! I fell in love with them and learned so much! 🐝
Another amazing collection of poems from MHN! I loved the sections on lessons from elephants 🐘 and lessons from honeybees 🐝!
An amazing memoir, highly recommended to listen to the audio!
Heavy subject matter; TW for sexual assault/abuse, suicide, and child abuse
Despite the heaviness of the book (both figuratively and literally), I really enjoyed it and looked forward to the way Lamb tied in each of the characters to each other. I looked forward to picking up the book again to continue reading it.
So much chanting of the Eagles fight song, and yelling. It got repetitive, especially the chapter of Pat's movie montage. It was mostly a good story and now I'm going to rewatch the movie to see how it compares to the book.
Covid finally got us. Husband still has to work, just from home. I am looking forward to some down time and reading.
Picture from this weekend (pre-covid symptoms) at Mops's memorial service.
I thought the interview sections were the best, and my husband really liked the April 1st advertisements.
Gosh this was a tough book to get through. It was trauma after trauma for Dixie. All the trigger warnings, so read with caution.
On Saturday we lost the matriarch of the family to cancer. We celebrate her life this weekend, but it's an 8 hour road trip and I need an audiobook. Suggestions?
Not suitable for work as there are a ton of f-bombs. Leah is unapologetically loud and sarcastic and it took me a bit to get used to. Once I did, I enjoyed her story more. She brought up one of the main questions I have regarding Scientology: Where is Shelly Miscavige?
I didn't know Jessica's story going into this memoir, but after reading it I want to follow her career! She has an interesting journey.
An incredibly large #chunkster at almost 1,000 pages, this novel is amazing! I was drawn in from the very beginning and loved learning about Bombay in the 80s. There were tons of characters and different story lines.
Haven't gotten any reading done since Thursday, but it was for a great reason: we had a wedding for my daughter and son-in-law on Saturday! Now to recover my feet from the wrong shoe choice and pick up my books again.
Didn't meet my goal of 75 for the year, but I'm not concerned with it. I enjoyed most of what I read this year!
Maia's graphic memoir is so touching! And I learned about a new set of pronouns (E, Em, & Eir).
It was an okay book. I'm not interesting in reading more of the series though. I just didn't care about the characters. The plot was kind of predictable. As it was a Christmas gift and it is Christmas Eve, I ate some dark chocolate, drank some Christmas tea, and read it through.
Got this book for Christmas from my sister in law, so I'm reading it and eating chocolate!
I liked this one slightly less than the first in the series, Firefly Lane. It was a bit repetitive and sometimes confusing with which timeline we were in, but overall still a great book!
In 2023 I want to read books that are long, but idk where to start looking for them. What is your favorite chunkster? #chunksterchallenge2023
Anybody else experiencing this? Everything I download new books onto my Kindle, the cover art is missing and replaced by these blue backgrounds. How do I fix it?
I've never read a book by Kristin Hannah before. This was heartbreaking and beautiful and I want to immediately start the second book in the series! I loved Kate & Tully and their love for each other.
A textbook for kids about the history of Hershey. I even learned a couple things.
Interesting perspective. I liked the self-awareness onion theory!
This book is about being neurodivergent, bullies, kindness, friendship, and apologies. It was a quick, easy read and it made me cry (not something that happens often). I love Addie and her voice throughout the book!
This book was fascinating to me! I stayed up all night to finish it and don't regret the lack of sleep. I used to sell essential oils for one of the companies named in this book and Montell absolutely nailed the tactics the company promoted.
I absolutely love this book in verse! Ellie is a fat tween girl and has to learn some hard lessons at such a young age. Ellie was super relatable to me.
Bailing on this one. I just don't care for Laurie.
A memoir of Liz through her teenage years as she deals with sexuality, bullies, and gender stereotypes.
I related to Jamison in many ways and am appreciative to her for writing the book. It isn't easy living with mental illness, but she wrote in such a way as to be accessible to all.
Cozy Wood Wick candle and tagged book is getting me through today. I have bipolar disorder and reading about someone else's experiences with the disorder is comforting to me, even though it isn't always pleasant.
Recently bought this lovely book of poetry and I want to reread it already! I want to make my notes in the margins, I want to highlight, I want to color, I want to dog-ear the pages that I love. I want to carry it around like Rory Gilmore and always be reading from it. I want to write my memories of my love in the book next to the poems that remind me of them. I've never had a book that makes me feel this way before!
The book was okay, but got repetitive towards the end. There were so many people involved in both the defense and prosecution of each of the KKK members, sometimes it was hard to remember who was who. I wish Mitchell had included photos of the victims at the end.
I enjoyed a couple of the stories, but I wanted more from them. The title story was really good!
Another collection of poems that I devoured from Morgan Harper Nichols! I meant to savor this one and take my time with it, but I just couldn't stop reading. I love her way with words and the thoughts she shares with us.
