#12booksog2023. @Andrew65 Love this series. I noticed that Jan was a little slow last year for reading 📚. I love Kate Daniels 😍 so this one was an easy pick.

A very good installment. Some surprising twists and turns, characters coming together in unexpected ways. The ending seems to happen in a rush, so I‘m already excited for getting to the next one.

I absolutely love the tagged series and this is may be the best one yet. So much happens in this book. I can‘t even. And I can‘t wait for the next one!

Another great installment in the Kate Daniels world. Even after 9 books, there is never a dull moment with Kate and her group. I never feel like anything is repetitive. Kate is still growing thru each book. Ilona Andrews is such a great author for this. I'm sad the next book is the last one but I'm excited to see how it all ends and comes together at the same time.

I'm starting with Cancer's prompt #9, read a book with an intuitive, emotional, intelligent, or passionate person and the first person I thought of for those traits is Kate Daniels. She isn't so much emotional but the rest, hands down. So I'm starting my challenge with Magic Binds, the next book I'm at in the series.

The Kate Daniels series never has useless filler. It continues to be set on Kate and developing her character. The world-building has never once let me down or become repetitive despite being now nine books into the series. The secondary characters have all had their moments to shine and gone through their own course of development as well. Love it! #fantasy #urbanfantasy

Another full-to-bursting book in the Kate Daniels series. So much happens, as in the last few. Roland is out of control and driving Kate to more and more difficult decisions; magic is driving Kate slowly to the breaking point; and the fast-approaching wedding may just be her undoing.

Need to reread Iron and Magic 1 and then it‘s on to Magic Triumphs!

Listening to this series has been so enjoyable! This ninth of ten books was action-packed, serious, funny, and romantic. 5/5 stars.

A reread before I read the last book in the series. These are getting tough to read because Kate is constantly stuck in tough situations with no good choices. I'm anxious to see how Kate and Curran's story is wrapped up in the next one.

Finally reached the end of this series until Mayish when the next one comes out! When my favorite character is kidnapped and Kate receives visions of doom from many sources, she must act quickly to deflect that possible future and save my favorite character! Excellent!!

This. Book. Is. PHENOMENAL. Gods, i don't know how much i love Magic Binds, and you know, the rest of the Kate Daniels series. Ilona Andrews never fails to blow me away with their writing. I have no words on how amazing this is. They're just not coming out. It's all jammed up. To people who are fans of fantasy, loves humor, alright with mature content, want to try a taste of diversity, you HAVE to read this series.

Love this series and how characters grow. Like how she writes the complex relationship between Roland and Kate.

I'm in a bit of a reading slump, problematic because I have so many library books I need to read, so I am re-reading Magic Binds. Does anyone else find re-reading helps them out of reading slumps?

#9 in the Kate Daniels series kept me up way too late because I just had to know what happened next. As well as action-packed plot, we get the pay-off from a one-liner that's been running for 2 or 3 books, updates on previously introduced characters and a thread of tension that utterly captivated me. Can't wait for the next installment. Highly recommended but not as the entry point - this series is wirth reading in order!

This book (9 of 10 in a beloved urban fantasy series, I think?) isn't my favorite but is solid. I feel the plots slipped a bit starting with bk 5, but not enough to really annoy. There were some necessary devs here toward Kate's final confrontation with her father, a few twists I didn't see coming, and I enjoyed the subplot of having the priest of a dark god micromanage her wedding. It could have been condensed, but I loved it anyway #urbanfantasy

All of these books came in at once. This is not a drill!! Moving the Ilona Andrews to the top of the list because it's been on my holds list since June. June!!! #ambitions #tbrderailed

Starting the newest Kate Daniels book for #boutofbooks ! I love this series so much

Team Daniels just keeps on ticking. If Kate wasn't so dang self-deprecating and self-aware, I fear that I'd be mighty miffed at how often she wins. You can feel the major storylines veering towards their culmination and so this one had ALL the characters...at least those still living, which was great but also a bit hard to keep track of. Loved delving further into the Slavic mythology. Ultimate battle of The Big Bad still to come!

And there we have it. Won't be able to get another one before the day ends and 175 is plenty. Goal was to hit 115, and that got blown away and I'm up from last year's final total of 130. Still need to try and get more nonfiction in there but still not too shabby. #bookworm #readerlife #readinggoals

Love this series. Another solid installment of paranormal showdowns taking place in an alternate future version of Atlanta.

I didn't post yesterday's #libfaves16, but it was Luck Is No Lady by Amy Sandas, a book I've mentioned my love for on here before. Today's is Magic Binds. This is one of my favorite UF series ever and each book is consistently amazing.

I hadn't crossed the line. I'd ridden an elephant up to it and run back and forth along its edge while a mariachi band played in the background, but I hadn't crossed it. #currentlyreading #lovekatedaniels

4/5 Stars, another great story but I'm a bit frustrated with the 'father/daughter' relationship! In my opinion this should be done already! Still a fab addition to the series!

Urban Fantasy eBook I wasn't sure about the start but quickly realized the authors' intent. I love this world, the characters, the story... I am so freaking happy. +

Morose last night, I decided to reread the end of Ilona Andrews' latest, wonderful book--which totally cheered me up. This isn't a spoiler, because the book opens with marriage plans but if you haven't read the series, 1) I am horribly jealous, and 2) start with the first book. #romantsy

I set a timer (more than once). I set goals of accomplishing great things (like laundry and dishes). Yet I knew I had set myself up for to-do list slaying failure when I cracked the cover. (in that annoying narrator voice from SpongeBob) ... TWO HOURS LATER ...

Looking forward to this....

AHHHHHH IT WAS SO GOOD! There was one smallish plot thread I didn't like, it was presented as a conflict and then easily solved with what I was thinking the whole time anyway. Still, waiting for the next one is going to be sooooo hard!

So excited to read this book I accidentally ordered 2 copies. #oops
