Blakely & Bowen are queens. This is all the things I love most in a #romcom- witty banter, awkward & hilarious relationship beginnings, sexual and emotional chemistry. It‘s so good that I bought the whisper sync immediately after I finished. The narrators are gold too. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️#romantsy

Nutmegnc I‘m waiting (argh…not patiently) for payday on Friday to buy both the ebook and audio. Cannot wait!! 1d
Nutmegnc Did you read the prequel? 1d

Keeland is a romance superstar. #1 in the Kindle store with a bullet. Georgia & Max have a fun meet cute & instant chemistry. Feelings develop despite their agreement they are just dating for the summer. Like all Keeland books, there is a breakup related to an angsty secret. I felt aggravated with Georgia at times because she WAY overthinks everything and would annoy me in real life. But Max is a dreamboat & I really enjoyed the book. ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Book 2 of m/m #romantsy suspense with #cozymystery vibe. I wasn‘t sold on the romantic relationship and the suspense plot resolution came out of left field. No real foreshadowing. I didn‘t hate it but I don‘t know that I will continue reading the series. 🔫🔫🔫

Sort of braggy infomercial for Rodger‘s consulting business & not much practical takeaway. Best thing I got out of this was encouragement to free up some of my time by deciding on how I could reduce time spent on meal prep that didn‘t involve eating out all the time. However, my solution wasn‘t her suggestions of hiring a chef or paying for expensive meal prep service. 💵💵💵

DivineDiana I think most people are not going to be able to hire a personal chef! 🙂 2w
Christy2318 @DivineDiana Right? I almost DNF‘ed the book at that point. I probably should have because it didn‘t really improve after that. 2w
DivineDiana Well, at least you are one book closer to your yearly goal! 🙂 (edited) 2w
jewright A personal chef?!! Ha! My best meal solution is making double batches and eating a lot of leftovers. 2w

Conclusion to the couple trilogy that kicks off Royal Elites series. The underlying suspense plot threads wrap here and I was underwhelmed. It wrapped up too neatly and the characters still didn‘t really grow. It‘s all very dysfunctional and not in a crazy sauce entertainment way. I don‘t see more Rina Kent in my future. 👎👎 #romantsy #kindleunlimited

I like crazy sauce books & dark bully dub con #romantsy doesn‘t bother me. But I kind of hate read this one. I disliked this for same reasons I didn‘t really care for 50 Shades. Aiden is manipulative asshole & Elsa is weak and too stupid to live. I continued reading because I wondered if there would be character development. There‘s lots of sex but it wasn‘t sexy. #kindleunlimited

The Trump & Putin similarities were rather on the nose & the Gamache connection felt forced. Otherwise, this was an entertaining & well paced political thriller. The first #Harlequin category #romansty to include a same sex couple. I bought at Walmart because I wanted to support the diversity. Category books don‘t stay in store long but you can still get in ebook or paperback on Amazon. This was delightful. Adam & Wes are quirky and vulnerable in ways that compliment each other & Adam‘s daughter, Gus, is believably precocious. It‘s just lovely. 🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄

Grumpy/sunshine trope. Neighbors Paul & Gideon have been mostly ignoring their interest in one another for years. Gideon finally convinced Paul to decorate for the holidays & they connect while working on it. The conflict here is all internal due to their own insecurities. It‘s a spicy Hallmark type story & I love that they are in their 40s. Favorite Christmas read so far this season. #romansty #kindleunlimited 🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄

“We‘d rather be small, and then our petty little sins would be forgivable.” Objectively this is a well written book but it was just so-so for me. I almost DNF at one point. It‘s quirky and odd which I can love but I constantly felt like I was missing some subtext. But I think it‘s a case of me and not the book.

Not in database. Mara is a starving artist & wounded bird who becomes a pawn in a game between two rival artists who are also serial killers. Cole is a sociopath who becomes obsessed with Mara. Very dark #romansty & not for anyone who needs trigger warnings. This is first book in duet & ends on semi cliffhanger. I didn‘t really buy into the romance but I‘m interested enough in how it resolves to read book 2 when it comes out. #kindleunlimited

Not in the database. Another revenge trope by K.A. Merikan. Shane‘s not a good guy but he‘s not really a bad guy either. There is quite a bit groveling in this one after Shane tries to follow through on his revenge. The big bad is a bit too stupid to live but I enjoyed this one and am interested to see what they do with the secondary characters in the rest of the series. #romantsy #kindleunlimited 3.5 🏍🏍🏍

Revenge trope. Zane & Roach are tied together by a curse after Roach‘s motorcycle club beats Zane before they all die. The magical element is mysterious & not fully explained which gives the book a bit of dark fairy tale vibe. Zane is pretty unlikeable & Roach is kind of pathetic. I love the morally gray characters and dark #romantsy themes in Merikan‘s works but this was not my fave. #kindleunlimited 🏍🏍🏍

All the good things about #romcom - witty banter, slightly altered reality where characters are kind of ridiculous but it works because they are perfect together. Loved the black moment and the grovel. People should definitely go on a bad vacation together before they get married. 🌴🌴🌴🌴🌴 #romantsy Apparently this is sort of an angstier When Harry Met Sally which I have somehow never seen. I should remedy that.

I read this because it is the latest controversial book in melodramatics at the local school board meeting because it was in classroom library for 11th-12th grade English. People even filed a police report regarding obscenity. 🙄 It was a little bit of a Holden Caulfield vibe to me & there was a lot in the book to talk about regarding class, racial and ethnic divisions. Perfectly appropriate for 16-18 year olds.🌟🌟🌟🌟 #bannedbooks

Not your typical #romantsy. Bennett & Kieran have an affair that spans several years. I‘m not a fan of cheating stories usually but it works in this one.
