Not crazy about the reader. I don't really like the way he voices Anna or Charles, and they're the main characters. So that's a bit of a bummer. 😕

I decided to reread this series by listening to the audio. The reader isn't my favorite, but I still devoured this book in a few days. I love Briggs' books set in this world.

My favorite of the LA bookstores I visited (and the only one I bought from). It's a romance-themed bookstore and it was awesome. They had plenty of cool items, the decorations were fantastic, there was a used book section upstairs -- I highly recommend if you like romances. I'll definitely be going back.

Pictures from my visit to The Last Bookstore in LA (couldn't find in Litsy). I think it could have been great, but it was so full of tourists taking pictures that it was hard to move around and look at things. So I only got to see the outside of the book tunnel, etc. It's in an old bank, which is why there's a vault.

A Doctor Who comics event comic. I didn't like the artwork, but the story was pretty great. After 12 kicks Rassilon from Gallifrey, Rassilon teams up with the Cybermen and they begin to change the past. All the Doctor's regenerations make an appearance, and so do some of their companions.

This was super descriptive about the science and technical details, which is not my thing. And the main character's not likable, although she gets a bit better by the end. The writing and story we're good, and it was read by Rosario Dawson, which was awesome.

I'm not great at taking in info by listening, but I found out the Mercy Thompson series by Briggs is mostly available to me on Overdrive, and I've been wanting to reread those. I'm hoping I'll have more success listening to books this time.

Congrats @LoverofLit on your milestones! Thanks for the chance at your #ThePowerofThreeGiveaway.

1. Urban fantasy/paranormal romance
2. Sweet 🍬
3. Usually a book and tea, and sometimes a sugary treat

LoverofLit Hey! Maybe you can help me. For the #Booked2019 challenge I need a good Person of Color Paranormal. Any good suggestions? 3w
Michollio @LoverofLit Patricia Brigg's Mercy Thompson series is great, and Mercy is part Native American. I think Ilona Andrews' Kate Daniels series might work. Archangel's Enigma by Nalini Singh would work. Some of her other ones would probably work too, but I'm having a hard time finding the characters' ancestral background. Hope this helps! 3w
GlassAsDiamonds @Michollio @LoverofLit - Nalini Singh‘s Archangel‘s Shadow, Archangels Storm and Archangels Viper each have MCs of colour (Indian and Creole, Indian and Polynesian and Indian and Asian although I‘m blanking on the exact ethnicity for Holly atm respectively) and Elena‘s mother is Moroccan so the first few in the series would also fit! 😊😊😊 The third in her Psy Changeling series would also fit but the name eludes me - it‘s Clays book in any event! 2w
LoverofLit @Michollio and @GlassAsDiamonds Thank you both so much! ❤ 2w
GlassAsDiamonds @LoverofLit 😊😊😊 LOVE Singh, always a pleasure to recommend her (but I do think her character writing has come on wonderfully since the first few of the Psy series... while they clearly “grow up” through the series, some of those guys needed a good slap to the head! 😂😂😂 I don‘t have the same quibbles the later books, with any of her novellas or the Archangel series!) 2w

Not my favorite of these graphic novels for sure.

jenniferw88 Um. That would have been an awesome tv episode for 12 as Peter played Richelieu in the bbc's adaptation of 3 musketeers! 🧐😊😍 3w

This one was less a story of its own and more a lead up to the next one. I enjoyed it, but it's the one I like least of the series. The next one sounds like it'll be good, though.

This is the first time I've noticed the cool stuff under the jacket, which I really liked. I assume the other ones had it and I just didn't see it.
