I enjoyed most of the books I read last week, but this was a fun one, so I'm picking it because I need more fun in my life. 😄

I have only one extra-large book on my TBR, and I'm unsure how long it will take to finish. I might actually have to get the audiobook to do it, but I'm afraid the reader will ruin all the voices I've already created in my head for the characters. 😄 😄 In short, the top three are the only ones I'll likely fill—mainly the top two.

Well, I wouldn‘t use this book to teach a lesson. This is a book that I would encourage students who don‘t necessarily like to read towards because it‘s very easy to read this comic book and I feel that the contents of the book would be very interested for students.
I didn't enjoy this book very much but I can see why little boys might. The illustration style was cute and I can see the appeal for boys.

He worked so hard to get to this point and we are beyond proud. He has read two Narwhal and Jelly as well as most of the first The Bad Guys: Episode 1 in the last few days. He even wanted to sit in my reading chair since he was reading “real“ books on his own 😆....this is a proud mama moment!!

Adorable

Cute and easy read. The movie was phenomenal so I had to read the story that inspired it. Absolutely hilarious. Very nice to see comparisons that made it into the movie. Mr. Shark dressing up is still the best part. Wayyyyyyy too short. Like, insane short. I don‘t know what to review about a book that short. Wished the characters got more single time, as this is book 1. This was all Mr. Wolf forcing the others to want to be better.

So much FUN! I loved the direct to reader asides, the playing with font. It's a bit more text than a picture book, didn't quite feel like a chapter book. The pencil sketch/line drawing throughout made it feel like one big comic strip. Always up for the classic villains getting a remix. So happy it's a series I can read more in!
“Well, someone had better do something. That screaming is getting on my nerves....“
The Bad Guys was written by Aaron Blabey. I really like how all the pages in this book were in black and white. In addition, I like the fun, interesting pages in the book as well. The fun text, emotion, etc. make this book a fun read for kids!

My little man devoured the first one in one session, so off we went to the bookstore today to grab a couple of more. Anything that keeps him engaged in reading is a win for me. I actually thought the first was cute as well.
I probably should have known, but my 4 year old went to the Bad Guys movie with us yesterday since I read the books to her. Several times she loudly exclaimed: “But he‘s the bad guys, “She‘s the ninja”, etc. So basically, she knew the books, but others around us might not have and she was a little spoiler… sorry…. 😅🫠😬

5✨Super cute, easy to read and have fun with graphic novel. It‘s funny and sarcastic. I‘m reading it with my four year old (not that it is tailored to younger audiences), but she is engaged and enjoying it for story time. All about four creatures that typically are labeled the bad guys. The wolf is trying to become good and dragging the others into his plans. Are they just playing good? You will have to read it to find out. 🥰

Rare library sighting of a whole bunch of Bad Guys -
just returned and already on the reserve shelf for the next keen reader.
Have you even done a library shift if you don‘t get asked by at least one optimistic child if there are any bad guys books in?! (At the moment most books in the series have about a 6 person wait list)

Sorry it‘s a little dark. One of the puppies woke me up a 1:30am! Grrrr… but it is giving me the chance to nearly finish my #bookspinbingo for May. The tagged is my most anticipated. I also am trying to finish three books this month so I can have a cleaner bingo card for my birthday month. 🥰 @TheAromaofBooks

Is this my typical type of book? Nope.
Would I normally pick this book up? Nope.
Are my student obsessed with this series? Yes!
Did that make me curious? Yes!
I was pleasantly surprised by this book, I was laughing from the first page until the last. I love these character and found them charming. It was a very quick read and I for one will be continuing this series - as soon as my students return the books….😁

I'm always on the look out for books that my kids will love. (Mr six and miss four). It's even better when they both love the same book and this one hit the mark. A cute, quirky tale wrapped up in a graphic novel. It's all about fighting the stereotype of being a bad guy. A fun read for everyone.
Let me know your suggestions for books for kids. I'm particularly interested in books with female protagonist that boys will enjoy.
The Bad Guys is a very good book. I recommend this book for you Bad Guys fans.
I think you guys would love it Its all about going from bad to good and its saving dogs from dog jail

Mr. Wolf, a bad guy hoping to reinvent himself in this fun series of graphic novels, is ready for Story Book Character Day! Will the ears last until the costume parade? Tune in tomorrow… #mrwolf #storybookcharactersday #thebadguys

Today‘s library lunch break. Kids‘ graphic novels are the perfect length to finish in one sitting...

Hey all, sorry for the absence. My parents big house is the land of little to no cell service or internet. I could respond to posts but not make any. So the first thing I want to do is send a big THANK YOU to @AmyG for my #elfswap. I love it all. Josh loved the snickers which is why it‘s not in the picture. 😜. The kids got a hold of the goldfish today (but at least they shared.). We have ripped open the bad guys and started reading. 👇🏻

While visiting my aunt and uncle last weekend we took a trip to the Donut Man, which by the way are the best donuts in the world, and we got their seasonal donuts, apple cider, pumpkin cream and tiger tail. Delish! I also read the tagged book over the weekend and I give it 4 1/2 hilarious stars. Bad guys like a wolf, snake and shark try to make nice and fix their sordid reputations.

4.5 🌟 What a laugh riot. Typical bad guys lead by Wolf decided to make the Good Guys Club and go about rescuing those in need. However while the Bad Guys are trying their hardest to be Good, others only see bad. This books mission is to save a cat up a tree, and rescue the dogs in the pound. If you have a reluctant reader needing easy chapters, then pick up this series. The books are fully illustrated and funny as heck.

Went to a new Indie bookstore in Mattoon IL today. (The Reading Grounds). They are not in Litsy but tomorrow when I‘m on a desk top I‘ll try to get them added. I have to support indies so I purchased the two books pictured.

My grandson is 7 and not an avid reader like I am. However, he fell in love with this Buy Guy series. It is like a comic book. Does anyone know of any other book series like this that he may enjoy?

It‘s such a funny and cool book to read. The “bad guys” are trying to be good guys. Their funny characters just makes my day and there is series of this book. It‘s really good.
