Day 7 📚💕📚💕
First time reading any comic about the Avengers. Loved it. Looking forward to volume 2. So shiny. I want more details about her family, though. Who are the woman and child she lives with? Partner and daughter? Sister and niece? Unclear in first volume. #comicbooks #graphicnovels #captainmarvel #theavengers #beautifulbooks

I decided to move my reading outside for a moment and picked this to read. It‘s been sitting on my shelf waiting to be read for so long that I decided it was time to give it a go. It was okay but as with most Marvel comics I‘ve read I always feel like I‘m missing so much because I‘ve only read a handful of them. But I did enjoy the story and Carol‘s badassery! My second finished book for #24in48!
Captain Marvel was a clue in today‘s crossword! So were the X-Men. I was IN MY ELEMENT!
1. Quiet Girl In A Noisy World by Debbie Tung
Winterlong by Mason Cross
Firefly: Book 1 by Joss Wheden
My #LMPBC book
2. Captain Marvel vol 1. It was great!
3. Grey and Green. I find grey very comforting, and certain greens make me feel happy.

Much better artwork in this one, with a good storyline. Would definitely recommend :)

I loved this Volume! I loved the movie and wanted more! Now I‘m ready for volume 2!!
⭐⭐⭐⭐ (4)
I needed something positive after reading about assault and institutional sexism, so I borrowed this from #PrimeReading. It was a quick, fun read. I like that Captain Marvel is a strong female lead who's friendly and personable rather than off-putting, antisocial, and scary. This story dealt with some heavy issues, such as refugees and social environmentalism, but lightened it up with a lot of humor. Also, lots of diversity represented.
My first comic in years! Captain Marvel, 1-6, so much fun. What an inspiration to girls everywhere; left internet trolls in the dust😎at the box office. Feeling like a kid sgsin😄
Boo for too early in the morning adulting at the dentist‘s.
Yay for new book!
My weekend #24B4Monday story. I knew I would be busy Saturday and Sunday, so I read mostly on Fri. On Sat., in between laundry, sorting toddler clothes in storage, and taking our oldest to a car show so he could participate in a karate demo, I read 1 hr/18 min. And Sun., I was on kid duty all day, so I read about 1 hr/36 min. I read #MeToo, and then felt the need to counter it with the tagged comic. Reviews coming.
🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
The comic is impregnated with humor and jokes, romance and tragedy, touching and friendship! And there are Guardians of the Galaxy! In addition to the above, I urgently need to watch the movie! 🌠🐈👱
I‘ve always considered myself a child of the 80s, but when I went looking for a picture to participate in the #90sSpringFling, I realized what an important decade the 90s was for me! I graduated both high school and college in the 90s, and this picture is me “hard at work” at my first major job after college, where I worked for the rest of the decade.
@Branwen since you saw the movie, you‘ll appreciate the book I tagged for the 90s reference! 😁
I went to see CAPTAIN MARVEL and as soon as it ended, the little girl next to me jumped up and said, “I‘m now Captain Marvel Jr!”
It was one of those MOMENTS, y‘all. Those little bits of proof that stories matter. 😭😭😭😭
I had a great time with the movie my own self. I stayed mostly spoiler-free, so I didn‘t know the Skrulls were in it, or what they did with Mar-Vell, or about the FLERKIN. My Marvel Cosmic-loving heart is happy.
And the set is done!
She's done! Now I'm working on Goose.
Just need to embroider her face and make her a companion.
Finally got to see Captain Marvel and I loved it!! I now want an orange cat so I can call her Goose.
My daughter is seriously obsessed with Captain Marvel (and really all female super heroes!)
She chose this dress to be her Easter dress this year and asked me to make her into a comic book superhero because we've been reading Captain Marvel and Marvel Rising graphic novels together recently!
#girlpower
Finally seeing this!
This is one of the better Captain Marvel series that I have read. I really didn't like Carol Danvers in the older Marvel series, especially in the Civil War volumes. Kelly Sue DeConnick's writing is great. Captain Marvel finally has the voice she deserves. She is a top tier Marvel hero, and she is finally being treated as such. I still need to see the movie, and this comic has me all the more excited to do so.
Saw Captain Marvel tonight! It may have taken Marvel forever to make a female main character film, but they did it right! 👍👍🍿 🍿
I saw “Captain Marvel” this weekend and absolutely loved it! Brie Larson and Samuel L Jackson had brilliant chemistry together as a buddy cop team.
I haven‘t keep up with superhero comics in the last few years, but this movie convinced me I have to read Kelly Sue DeConnick‘s “Captain Marvel” books, as her stories were apparently a big influence. The “Captain Marvel” movie has made me a True Believer! 😀
This was so good! I wasn't sure where the story was going but it was a very satisfying read. The artwork was gorgeous, too. Great use of panels and space.
Unfortunately I couldn't take screenshots of the pages I liked (not allowed in the app).
So pumped to see Captain Marvel tonight
I saw this last night and I have been both excited and scared since it was announced it was going to be made.
The consensus is a big hell yes! My non comic book friends loved it too.
The soundtrack to this movie is awesome, goose steals the show (Chewey in the comics) and yea, I‘m still on a high from this one.
Just borrowed from Hoopla! Movie was great.
A night off from booking to watch Captain Marvel.
😁
I know what I‘ll be doing this weekend. It looks like there are a ton of Captain Marvel graphic novels on Prime Reading on Amazon.
#captainmarvel goes to space 🚀🦸
Curious to see which storylines are used for the movie 🎥

Watching the new Captain Marvel trailer has me wanting to finally read this. I highly recommend watching it because Nick Fury and her cat are amazing together.
#marvel #graphicnovel
So the Captain Marvel trailer looks amazing. I'm really crossing my fingers this means Marvel's gonna get this one right 🤞🏻

Let‘s see how this goes! I literally know nothing about Captain Marvel, but I know she‘s coming to the movies soon and want to learn some backstory. 🌟
I totally enjoyed this series and will most definitely be reading more Captain Marvel before the movie comes out next year. A badass heroine who is also a cat lady? I‘m in 🐈
#riotgrams bookish friendship. Carol and Jessica have an amazing friendship they are supportive of each other and I love that they are equals. I honestly don't think we see enough of fully supportive female friendships in the media as a whole.
She (in this case me) loves you (speaking directly to this pair of Captain Marvel high tops that I still need to think of a way to tell my husband that I spent $75 of my hard earned money on 🤫). Sorry for stretching the topic. I just really want to brag on my nerd shoes. #shelovesyou #shoes #HeyJune
Such a fun, space-fantasy romp!
I'm not usually into the typical superhero genre. Dorky costumes, the greater good, perfect people all kind of make me roll my eyes. But this was totally and completely endearing, and I really love the character of Carol Danvers.
Totally loved this! We‘re a massive MCU household and every movie that comes out, I just love more and more. I‘ve read a few of the graphic novels, but am somewhat overwhelmed by the sheer volume of them. So pleased I went for this one though. I loved that Captain Marvel wasn‘t a token female, but that women were the majority of the characters. I love her upgraded suit. I love learning more Marvel lore. Can‘t wait to smash through Vol 2 tomorrow!
Tying my #ReadingResolutions in with #InternationalWomensDay - Hell yeah!
One of my TBR for the month, #orange cover & plenty of badass women. I‘ve read a bit already and I‘m loving the Banshee Squadron so far! 😍💪🏻
@Jess7
Ha! Even Rhodey has limits.
Dude, if you love comics, love women, love women in comics, and have Netflix, I just watched 'She Makes Comics' and am having all kinds of feelings. It's not perfect as far as a history of women in comics, but it's inspiring and a call to arms. My brain is percolating.

I wasn't sure if it was entirely safe for me to buy myself a Tiny Captain Marvel this close to Christmas, but then I remembered the best thing about Marvel Funko Pops: if you end up with duplicates, you can always tell people that one is Actual Carol (or whomever) and one is Skrull Carol.
(I'll always regret my failure to buy Skrull Thor when I found him at Value Village.)
#fallintobooks #lesserknowncomics I'm not a big comics reader, so most of my comics are pretty mainstream & fairly well known.
