This was recommended to me, other wise I would have passed. Sacrilege, I know…but I‘m just not a superhero person, and who‘s the biggest superhero of them all?

Booorriing…🥱

Anyway, here‘s Clark & Lois‘s son, Jon. “…landmark moment in comic book history, Jonathan Kent “…the son of Clark Kent, aka Superman, and Lois Lane — is coming out as bisexual.”

So there‘s a continuity change.

It‘s a Sunday afternoon comics, tea, & biscuits situation over here. I‘m having a lot of fun with JLA: YEAR ONE. It‘s a great look at what happens between the team‘s big adventures, and I get a huge kick out of spotting characters I know from other DC comics and/or the various TV shows. (In the main, I believe Marvel‘s got way better movies and DC‘s got way better TV shows. I can‘t say I‘ve watched ‘em ALL, but I‘ve watched a lot.)

Love the Tim Sale/Jeph Loeb Marvel color series! While they work best with some knowledge of the characters' histories, you can't get plenty from this just by watching the first Raimi movie. Peter tells the story about how he met Gwen Stacy and MJ, and the Archie-like love triangle. Expectedly brilliant writing and wonderful art.

JamieArc Which is the first in this series? My partner is I to Spider-Man but hasn‘t read these. Always looking for new comics for him. 4w
TieDyeDude @JamieArc There are four books focusing on different characters; Spiderman (Blue), Daredevil (Yellow), Captain America (White), and Hulk (Grey). I haven't read Hulk, and Cap was good, but Spider-Man and Daredevil were excellent. I'm sure he'd really like this book. 3w
JamieArc @TieDyeDude Great! Thanks so much! 3w

I picked this up from the library after seeing @Bookwormjillk ‘s post for #readingafrica2023, for Cote de Ivorie.

It centers on the lives of 3 young women as they finish high school and get up to shenanigans. I appreciate the view of family tensions and how much they can vary.

Bookwormjillk Glad you were able to get it! 1mo

Another really good Batman story. The dark knight (Dick Greyson) and commissioner Gordon pursue a serial killer throughout Gotham. I‘m always happy for a detective story, and a grisly, dark one like this is best. Recommended!
