THIS is where Harry Potter starts for me. It's the shift to a little more darkness, to Harry truly having to make some tough decisions, to him finding out what REALLY happened to his parents (those memories at the demontors' hands are so brutal and yet the only real memories he has of his parents in their last moments). (continued in comments)
So excited I went ahead and signed up for my first swap!
1. Candy corn!! Even the pumpkins lol 🎃😂
2. I did more gory when I was younger, but now probably cute spooky
3. Nail polish and books/bookish stuff. Also anything wine related!
4. McGonagall, Hermione, Bellatrix (love-hate thing)...Snape and Dumbledore. Basically anything Harry Potter. I also like psychological horror, so monsters that may not be real.
I have now both re-read and re-watched Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets--I'm making slow but satisfactory progress in my goal to re-read the series (for the first time!). I've come to realize how much the films are tied up in my memories of the books. Because my boys have watched and re-watched the movies (and I've watched with them, of course), they often take precedence in my memory of the series. ⬇️
I finally gave in and bought the illustrated editions of the first three HP books. I have the regular editions, so didn‘t think I “needed” these. But I was wrong. 😂The artwork is amazing. And the 4th volume is set for release in October!🙌🏽
Good morning readathoners! I'll stayed up way too late last night, so I slept in a bit and am catching up on the #hour30 challenge. I didn't keep a lot of my old middle grade or ya books, and I was the kid who read way above her reading level (mostly because I thought I was smarter and more mature than I really was), but of course I loved Harry Potter. These are the new house editions I'm collecting, I can't wait to have the whole set! #24in48
I may be having a little too much fun doing these. 🐺
5/7. I missed Phoenix and Goblet.
i‘ve had a major Book Hangover the last couple days mourning over finishing Carry On so i‘m going to continue my harry potter mission and start Prisoner of Azkaban to take my mind of the fact i have to wait until the end of september for Wayward Son 🔮🖤
📖 I'm going with Harry Potter, since I'm one of those #nerds who has also been playing Wizards Unite. Prisoner of Azkaban is my favorite!
🎬 In an effort to go away from Harry Potter, I'll go with my second thought, Sleeping Beauty! I love the scene of the owl in the cloak!
🎶 Fireflies by Owl City. Not that I particularly love the song, but it sure gets stuck in your head easily!
Happy Monday everyone! #manicmonday
WEEK 3 Fitness Check-In
I have the same results as last week, but I felt better about my progress this week! I‘ve been feeling very pregnant, which has made exercise really hard, so I‘ve been happy that my 5K training is going well.
3x 5K: ✅

One of the greatest MF series ever known, is perfect for a AS in the classroom. I excitedly got to rediscover this novel as an audiobook. Harry is in his third year at Hogwarts and is excited to be back with his friends. Hogwarts has exciting news as they bring back the Tri-Wizard Tournament!Of course, as has in the past, things start to get complicated for Harry and his friends. Harry, though underage, is mysteriously picked as.....
IN LOVE with 20th Anniversary editions! I wish I could afford to buy all the houses!! I especially love the map. Every book should be required to have a map!
Anybody else bad about starting one book and then your attention diverts to another? Starting azkaban now since I've been looking up HP tattoos lately 😂😂
Been reading the #HarryPotter series to the middle kids. They are absolutely drawn in to Rowling's world.
Of course I bought the Gryffindor House 20th Anniversary Edition of Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban.
Do I have anymore space in my Harry Potter bookshelf? Of course I don‘t! Will that stop me from buying more Harry Potter editions? It surely will not. I‘ll just need another shelf. 🤷🏽♀️
When I first read the HP series, this was my favourite. Today, I think it still remains number one. But we shall see as I continue my reread. I love the intensity and drama that happens in this book. It introduces one of my favourite characters (Lupin), and it's the first of the series to really toy with my emotions, especially as an adult and knowing what will happen in later books. 5 out of 5!
Tomorrow is my last day of dog sitting so today was our second to last, early morning audiowalk and it was all misty and mysterious. I also didn‘t realise there were people behind me while I tried to while I tried to cajole Jasper into looking at me with silly voices 😳
It‘s been a long and busy weekend which has left me feeling rather stressed so I have decided to call it a day and settle down with some calming crochet and a Harry Potter audiobook. I also thought a generous helping of ice cream and chocolate hazelnut butter was called for!
