Finished this brand new release & start to Harper‘s new paranormal romance 3-book series (Starfall Point). The audiobook was released last week so not in the Litsy database yet & tagging under this book. Cute & fun Oct listen, Riley goes to the island at bequest of her aunt hoping to learn about her recently-passed mother‘s family & finds out she is a witch & caretaker to a houseful of ghosts. This was a very cute endearing story about loneliness & family & community. A wonderful read for October made even more special from the gifts opened at numbered pages throughout the book. Sorry for the bad pic but the 4 gifts are 1) Mika‘s Can‘t-Do-Withouts (6 essential oils) 2) Witch‘s Cookbook 3) Cauldron-shaped bath bombs & a βWitches Brewβ spoon 4) key-shaped bottle opener in a little Sense and Sensibility book box. All in all fun gifts & β¬οΈ

I‘m glad I finally got this one finished since I had an #ARC for a couple of years. I loved learning of the folklore of the Métis people & the Rougarou, werewolf-like creature. Joan this her missing husband is caught up with the beast & a revival show. Is her husband Reverend Wolf & can she get him back or is it all some kind of trick?

October last book read. I liked this better that the other one even when it was not a directly sequel. It is funny, cute, sexy with a pinch of mystery and action at the end. It is very short. 3βοΈ

Well another one that the books I read didn't fit the prompts. I tried....
Another book with mixed reviews. I think the concept was interesting, dark and weird. A town that believe in female saints but at the same time were mysogynist, extreme and violent in their punishment against women until one of them will discover her magic, that their others like her and all of them will revealed secrets that they are not alone. βSaintsβ or witches? I think there will be a sequel. Not a great story but kept my attention 3/3.4βοΈ
I read this novel long time ago. I forgot how terrible Mr Heathcliff was and how dysfunctional, violent, co-dependent these relations were. But thinking about the author, how brave she was to write in a novel about these topics was incredible and she was young. I think I need to re-read it in the future after maybe read more about the author. I will need, of course, another beautiful edition. I read the Thomas Nelson edition. 4βοΈ
I know this one has mix reviews/ratings but it worked wonderful for me. I loved the relationship between Ben and her grandfather and later with her grandmother and how they accepted and respected Ben. That ending was so sad but at the same time understandable due to Ben circumstances. I enjoyed it so much. I also like this author‘s writing style and retellings. I haven‘t read other genres by her but soon. 3.8/4. Thank you @mabell
Read with the #PemberLittens #chapteraday for October, it is maybe my 6th or 7th reread & remains my #3 behind P&P, then Persuasion. I love the humor & romance & Austen‘s most likable/swoonable clergyman, Henry Tilney π Good gothic October fun & a bit surprisingly, it netted me 193 #Scarathlon2022 #ScarathlonWordSearch words for an extra 1930 points for #TeamMonsterMash (132 goods!) π»
