Fredrick Franklin and Randall Franklin Morris are identical twins. Th ey are both very handsome, possess hypnotic, captivating amber eyes, smiles displaying deep dimples, and prefect white teeth. Th ere the resemblance ends. Once Fredrick becomes enraged his pupils completely disappears, and he becomes the turpitude of cruelty preying on the innocence of youth

I choose option #1 because I'm so short on uninterrupted reading time as a mom that I'm desperate for it. Gimme!!

#whichwouldyouchoose

Thanks @Eggs for the tag 🥰

I nominate @readordierachel

#justforfun #friends #LitsyLovelies #keepLitsypositive

Dineen73 #1 definitely!! 4y
Schnoebs I think I would have to go with #2 because there are some really expensive coffee table books that I would love to get so the budget would probably only get me maybe 20-30 tops 😂 4y

Eggs @Readage I can relate to that ❣️❣️ (edited) 4y

I prefer print but like to have #Ebooks on my phone so I can read whenever I want. I used to use only #iBooks but I now borrow lots of library e-books so I use #Overdrive & #CloudLibrary more. #Hoopla‘s good for graphic novels but I‘ve had problems saving my progress in novels. I just got #Libby & so far I like it but need to get used to it. I‘m happy to see that unlike Overdrive, I can search the text, which is handy when looking for quotes!

Demeter2112 Libby is my favorite, but I love Overdrive for audiobooks. Both are great! ☺️ 5y
Seekingtardis #hoopla is my jam!!! 5y
KathyWheeler My library doesn‘t have Overdrive. We have Cloud Library, Hoopla, and R Digital. I use them all but like them for different things — Hoopla for graphic novels and audiobooks, Cloud Library for ebooks, and RDigital for audiobooks. 5y
See All 27 Comments
rretzler Libby‘s interface is more fun that Overdrive but it unfortunately doesn‘t sync wishlists between the app and the computer like Overdrive so i stick with Overdrive for borrowing. Haven‘t heard of Cloud Library or R Digital and I only use Hoopla occasionally 5y
ReadingOver50 My library uses overdrive but I wish they had hoopla instead 5y
LibrarianRyan I miss my cloud library. The new library only has Hoopla Libby and Axis 360. 5y
KathyWheeler @LibrarianRyan Axis360 is one I don‘t see mentioned much. I went to a presentation once where they were talking about moving into academic libraries, but that‘s been awhile. 5y
LibrarianRyan @KathyWheeler I sat on a committee to chose a platform for one ebook service for the state of Illinois. Only two companies would consider taking on such large project. Acid 360 and Cloud Library. In the end we ended up with 2 services depending on which library system you belonged too. Cloud Library couldn‘t handle the multiple ILS s of RAILS and IHLS flat out didn‘t like Axis 360 for price and easy of use. We chose Cloud and I miss it. 5y
RealBooks4ever I like Libby for audiobooks. I keep forgetting about Hoopla for graphic novels! 🙄 5y
CouronneDhiver Overdrive and Kobo are my favourites 5y
vkois88 I love Libby, but I've never heard of Cloud Library 5y
DHill I use Libby for audiobooks and really like it. 5y
Lcsmcat I use Libby - both my libraries use it and I prefer it to Overdrive. I mostly use it for audiobooks, but also eBooks. I‘ve not heard of Cloud Library. What does it do? 5y
Gezemice I use all, but I read on my kindle. I use Audible, Libby and Overdrive to listen. I also have Scribd, for listening. The problem with Hoopla is that I can borrow only 5 a month. Their selection is not very good, except for classics on audio (excellent), and graphic novels, but how do I start reading a graphic novel series with only 5 per month? I want to read them through! 5y
Gezemice @ReadingOver50 My Library has Overdrive/Libby (same account), and the selection is great. Hoopla only lets me borrow five a month and is very limited in selection. The only issue I have with Overdrive is that the waiting lists are long. 5y
BibliOphelia Libby quickly became my favorite - great for audio or ebook, good selection, reasonable waits, best interface. 5y
Redwritinghood I use Hoopla and Libby. I like Hoopla because you don‘t have to wait. 5y
ReadingOver50 @Gezemice I really just want hoopla for the graphic novel selection 😄 5y
TK-421 @Demeter2112 Good to know! I haven‘t really given audio a good try yet but I want to. 5y
TK-421 @Lcsmcat @vkois88 Cloud Library is a bit similar to Overdrive (e-books & audio) but imo has better options for text size, margins, etc. and there‘s lots of genres to browse. I‘m still learning Libby but so far I like it. (edited) 5y
TK-421 @rretzler I don‘t use Hoopla much either - usually I only go to it for graphic novels & comics or if it has a novel available that‘s not in Overdrive or Cloud Library. I think my library used to have R Digital but I never tried it. 5y
Lcsmcat @TK-421 Is it through your public library, or is it a subscription service? 5y
TK-421 @KathyWheeler really need to try audio again! Do you prefer Hoopla to Cloud Library for audiobooks? I was just wondering if one works better than the other. 5y
TK-421 @Lcsmcat I use it through my library 5y
KathyWheeler @TK-421 I use both for audiobooks— I like Hoopla‘s better though. 5y
vkois88 That's good to know, thank you!!! I'll look into it 😊 5y

I plan to read a Classics chunkster next year, and I have these two on my shelves. If I were to choose, which one should I read first? I‘ve not read George Eliot and I‘ve only read Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte. Any thoughts? Much appreciated.

Amiable I read "Middlemarch" this year as my chunky classic. It was pretty good. Haven't read the Bronte book. 5y
Cathythoughts I really want to read Villette ..,, so I‘m biased .... but yes , I vote for (edited) 5y
rockpools Love Middlemarch - even if it is a chunkster. I‘d vote Eliot! 5y
See All 13 Comments
Lcsmcat I liked Villette better, but I‘m probably in the minority. And I didn‘t read them back to back, so it could reflect where I was when I read them. 5y
merelybookish That's like choosing between my children! 😯🙂 Are you in the mood for a big view or small? In Middlemarch, you inhabit a society and get to know all the people in it. In Villete, it's all Lucy Snowe and all her deeply felt experiences. I love them both but think Middlemarch is probably the one I'd recommend reading first. 5y
Jas16 Middlemarch all the way. 5y
batsy Nooooo... Don't make me choose between two of my favourite books ever ❤️❤️😁 5y
batsy Ok, now that I've calmed down... @merelybookish offers good advice! Villette is a turbulent storm of a book, Middlemarch calmer and more objective. Both give totally fascinating and unforgettable insights into the human condition, I think 🙂 5y
Ruthiella I‘ve only read Middlemarch! 5y
LeahBergen I can‘t choose! 😫 They are very different but both so good. 5y
erzascarletbookgasm @merelybookish that‘s very helpful, thank you lovely! @batsy thank you, 👍 @LeahBergen err thank you? 😂 okay, I understand both are different..need to think about this. I‘m also taking into consideration I may join the buddy read Shirley. (edited) 5y
rockpools From these comments, apparently I need to read Villette this year! That wasn‘t in the plan! 🤔 5y

I am reading this great book (name will be revealed once I finish it). It's a #SelfHelp non fiction. One of the ritual book recommend is to listen to music. I'm very much #Audiobook person! I think I know the fellow Litten answer, but thought I'll still ask! What's your go to 📚 or 🎶?

Bklover Definitely 📚📚📚 5y

CoffeeK8 Music if I have to concentrate or write reports/lesson plan. Audiobooks otherwisec 5y
StellaDz I listen to music while I read. But I‘m 50/50 if I absolutely have to choose between them (ie. at work etc). It all depends on my mood. 5y
ephemeralwaltz Lately, podcasts👀 5y
Amandajoy I do both. Audiobooks and podcasts when doing most things. Music when I need to focus & read/write things. 5y
