panI reread my (2nd hand) H. P. books, because I needed something familiar and comforting to accompany me through tough times. As much as I like the stories and some of the characters, I can only leave a negative review - not because of the plot holes/mistakes, but because I can't understand how someone can write characters/relationships like these and go on to spread so much hate, in a way that would make Voldemort proud. JKR deserves no support.

pickThese HF, IR books would be an amazing add to 5th grade libraries! The series includes many themes, including but not limited to friendship, love and death. Specifically, National Book Award (UK) winning Harry Potter and the Sorcerer‘s Stone would be a great, abd pivotal, start for students. Orphaned as a baby, young Harry learns his life is more magical than the life he lived in his aunt and uncle‘s cupboard. This book works best in an IR setting

pickFinished book 3! I was not happy with how different the scene is where the students learn the "riddikulus" charm. The movie turned it way more comedic than it was.. but absolutely enjoyed the book!

My Favorite Series
I was an adult when I discovered Harry Potter. I had shied away from fantasy because I abhorred The Hobbit, my one experience with the genre, but the bookstore I was working in wanted to do a midnight release party for Goblet of Fire. I was put in charge of the Trivia Contest and found myself devouring the series and falling in love with The Boy Who Lived.

Worked on a new cover for next year‘s planner today!!I love Simini Blocker‘s art so I went with this great picture quoting J.K. Rowling. Inside has a lot of pictures from 2018 that make me happy. I can‘t believe how close this year is to being done! Hoping there are some big changes in 2019!!

Finally got a chance to organize my bookshelf in our new reading room!!! The china cabinet was my mom and dad‘s. Instead of showcasing the china, we‘re showing off *some* of our book collection! I‘m so thrilled with how it came out. There‘s really no rhyme or reason to how I organized except all my hardcovers are at the bottom and like genres, authors, and series are together-ish. I‘m sure I‘ll be moving things all the time!
