The antagonist was so strange. But the hero and heroine were great. I loved the way they interacted with each other. The romance was sweet in the middle of something pretty twisted. This presented an interesting twist itself. A Surprise Harvest Bride by Wendy Klopfenstein turned out to be a lovely novella! I was so happy to find a new author to check out. This book was sweet, clean historical romance. I tried. I really did. And since I‘m looking for new-to-me authors, I hoped to find another favorite author to follow. This book could definitely have been worse. The content was pleasant enough in general. It was clean up to the 30% mark. I even kinda liked one of the secondary characters. (Continued in comments) #dnf #readmorebooks

My husband and I read this one together. We really enjoyed it and found it helpful, encouraging, and insightful. If you‘re looking for a book to learn more about grace, what it is, and what it means for the Christian, then I highly recommend you check this book out. I originally chose it because I enjoy listening to the author‘s podcast, Things Unseen. I recommend that, too.
