I just watched the book trailer for this. I'm curious how you guys feel about book trailers. I'm torn on them. I normally wouldn't choose this type of book (give me sci-fi/fantasy/psychological thrillers) but I'm trying to read beyond my norm. This books was actually very good. Beautiful. The characters are engaging and well developed. There was enough in the story to keep me interested and invested in the characters. It is definitely a slower pace than I'm use to, but I enjoyed it! 😊⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Glad I'm listening to this again because I've forgotten so many details! I loved the first one, but this second book is a struggle for me....so many excessive storylines/details I'm not seeing why it's necessary. And I'm not sure if it's the narrator or the writing, but it's coming across very "I'm an amazing writer, don't you agree ??" I've listen to this narrator many times and usually I love him. Hoping it gets better!

Maike Had the same trouble with this one! I just hope City of Mirrors is as good as the Passage 😬 8y
Anton I really struggled with The Twelve, and my wife gave up on the audio halfway through. 8y
TheNextBook I feel like this series has to be read back to back. I re-read the first two books before getting to The City of Mirrors. They all feel so different. Passage more horror, The Twelve more sci-fi and The City of Mirrors a mix of both. Definitely a good series but The City of Mirrors was very different in writing and style. It was good but at times almost felt like a different author. 8y
tnorris @TheNextBook I completely understand! I feel like the writing between the first and second are so different. Maybe because he took so many years to write each book? His style developed and changed a lot. I'm hanging in though! 💪🏼😆 8y
ScrappyMags I wasn't crazy about the second one either 8y
