This was the first Terry Pratchett book I read and I really enjoyed it! It made me laugh a lot. The witches were so much fun and so lovely.
Thank you so much @Tineke . This book was a great pick for the #Litsylove winterswap! ❤

So with this one being the only Terry Pratchett book I know, does anyone have a recommendation for the next one? 😀

julesG You could join #OokBOokClub. We read one Pratchett book each month in order of publication. We're reading Men at Arms, the next Discworld novel from Dec 8th to January 7th. 5y
Tineke Great to see you liked it. I have never read a Terry Pratchett book to date. I do have the first one The colour of magic, but I need to be in the mood for it. 5y
Tineke Forgot a part... I hope you now have a new series to read, because I know it's huge with a lot of books. 5y

I found this book in a second hand bookshop and finished it in one sitting. I didn't know anything about the Essex or Nantucket before and it was very fascinating. Usually I'm not a big fan of non fiction books but this one is written very captivating.

🔸And again I haven't been on Litsy for a while. I can't even explain it. Sometimes I just have phases where I am more of an offline person.😅But now I am excited to post and participate again! 😊

DrexEdit Totally have those phases myself! Welcome back! 😊 5y

Hmm.. I liked the beginning of it. I didn't know before where the book was going and while reading it had no idea how the story might unfold, which made it a very interesting and creepy read first. But after a while the story felt kinda forced to me. It felt like the writer really wanted to show us some of these photos and that's why he thought of a connection to the story. I liked the idea behind it but for me it didn't really work out.

It made me so happy to find it between all the books at the fair! I can't wait to dive into it. I always recommend him to everyone and then it usually makes me sad that I already know all his books and don't have the chance anymore to read a book from him for the first time. And now I have!😍

I finished this last night. I absolutly loved the artwork. It was interesting to learn more about Auri. I liked how all these little things around her made her so happy and excited.
But I found it a bit repetitive after some time. In the endnote of this book Patrick Rothfuss wrote how the book is not for those people who expect a normal story with a normal story line. Well, I guess I'm 'those people' 😅

I liked the biggest part of it. It is a story to get lost in, one of these books you just can't put away. I can totally understand why it is so popular. However, in the end I had to distance myself from all the violence and abuse.
I haven't decided yet, if I want to continue with the series. I bought it mostly out of curiosity.

aroc I agree, the violence and abuse is difficult but the story is so intricate that I tend to push past it and keep going. I love Jaime and Claire. 6y
Kloves2read I love Jamie and Claire! I agree it's hard to read at time but the story on as a whole is nothing short of epic. My Favorite is book #3, Voyager. 6y

I read about 5 hours yesterday and finished Annihilation. I'm not a big fan of this book. Yes, it was creepy and this made it interesting, but it all stayed so far away. This one is a german comedian, so I guess most of you won't know him. Litsy also showed me an english translation of his books, but I don't know if those are as funny.

But at least in german this book was great. It's a funny yet clever read and I had to laugh out loud often. I still think that the first of his books was the best, but this one gets really close.

Outside it's raining and stormy and I'm sitting here cozy with a blanket, some chocolate and my boyfriends favourite book series. Absolutly the best way to spend a sunday! 😍

TrishB He has good taste! This is an awesome series 😁 6y
mellissimo @TrishB I was a bit sceptical with the first book but now I totally agree. It gets better and better 😀 6y

Look what I just found in a local train station! You can just take a book if you need one for your train trip or leave the one you just finished during your trip. What a wonderful idea! 😍

Moony Yeah thats #bookcrossing Where did you found it? 6y

mellissimo @moony I thought so but wasn't bookcrossing the thing where the books had codes and you could track them on a website? Or am I confused with something else now? 😅 Cause those don't have anything like this. 6y
JazzFeathers Such a great idea! 6y

Remember how I wanted to read something more light and funny next? Well... 😅😂
I just found Dracula in my local second hand store for 1 Euro. That was just to tempting. I never read it and am very curious now!

Wuthering Heights | Emily Bront

Mehso-so

I wanted to read this one for a long time and I'm glad I finally did it. But it won't become one of my favourite books. Sometimes it was interesting and somehow 'cozy' to read about all these difficult characters, and of course it is written so so beautifully, but then I really hoped for at least ONE good thing to happen in this entire story 😅

After Les Miserables and Wuthering Heights I should really find a less depressing read now. 😂

mabell I recommend PG Wodehouse at this point! 😂 6y
