Tonight I arrived back from a perfect holiday week in the netherlands to find so much wonderful #litsylove waiting for me! Thank you so much @TheBookHippie @whatsthEStorey @nelehelen @Stacypatrice @iread2much

@Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks Thank you so much for the pretty bookmark. Matching bookmarks are such a great idea! 🤗
I will send answers out this week!
Also I finished 3 books last week, so there are some reviews coming up 😆

Libby1 Where did you visit in the Netherlands? I love it there. ❤️ I‘m glad you had a good time! (edited) 4w
mellissimo @Libby1 We spent a few days in Friesland and visited Ameland. After this we stayed in Zwolle, where my boyfriend lives. We also made a daytrip to Utrecht. I love the netherlands as well! 😊 4w
Libby1 Fantastic! I‘ve not been to Friesland, even though my father‘s family emigrated from that area to the US. His grandparents moved to Chicago in the first half of the 20th century. 4w

I have to share my new treasure with you! I found this on a bookfair two weekends ago. I love everything from Walter Moers but didn't know he had a new book. It made me so happy to find it between all the books at the fair! I can't wait to dive into it. I always recommend him to everyone and then it usually makes me sad that I already know all his books and don't have the chance anymore to read a book from him for the first time. And now I have!😍

Addison_Reads I love his books. They're so fun and unique. 2mo

I finished this last night. I absolutly loved the artwork. It was interesting to learn more about Auri. I liked how all these little things around her made her so happy and excited.
But I found it a bit repetitive after some time. In the endnote of this book Patrick Rothfuss wrote how the book is not for those people who expect a normal story with a normal story line. Well, I guess I'm 'those people' 😅

Like tidying up in your head. 👍 There where also chapters that were kinda boring or just not for me but in total it was interesting and helpful.
I think if you only find one approach in this book that works for you then it was already worth it.

I liked the biggest part of it. It is a story to get lost in, one of these books you just can't put away. I can totally understand why it is so popular. However, in the end I had to distance myself from all the violence and abuse.
I haven't decided yet, if I want to continue with the series. I bought it mostly out of curiosity.

aroc I agree, the violence and abuse is difficult but the story is so intricate that I tend to push past it and keep going. I love Jaime and Claire. 2mo
Kloves2read I love Jamie and Claire! I agree it's hard to read at time but the story on as a whole is nothing short of epic. My Favorite is book #3, Voyager. 3w

I spent the weekend with my long distance boyfriend. Because of bad weather and storm the train ride took around 9 hours instead of the usual 8 hours both times...
The result? Around 600 pages of Outlander 😅
I start to get the hype about these books now. It's a story to get completely absorbed in. Perfect for long train rides.

I read about 5 hours yesterday and finished Annihilation. I'm not a big fan of this book. Yes, it was creepy and this made it interesting, but it all stayed so far away. I didn't care about the characters. Everything was so unpersonal. Maybe it was supposed to be like this but for me it made reading it a bit boring. I'm curious about the Netflix movie now!

This one is a german comedian, so I guess most of you won't know him. Litsy also showed me an english translation of his books, but I don't know if those are as funny.

But at least in german this book was great. It's a funny yet clever read and I had to laugh out loud often. I still think that the first of his books was the best, but this one gets really close.

I wanted to read this one for a long time and I'm glad I finally did it. But it won't become one of my favourite books. Sometimes it was interesting and somehow 'cozy' to read about all these difficult characters, and of course it is written so so beautifully, but then I really hoped for at least ONE good thing to happen in this entire story 😅

After Les Miserables and Wuthering Heights I should really find a less depressing read now. 😂

This book is important, it holds a message everyone should see and I'm glad I read it but still I don't like it as much as most people seem to do. The first half of it just felt like your typical YA book. The second half was very good, like the kind of forget-everything-around-you-and-just-get-absorbed good. 😍 But it's a sensible topic and I made the mistake to read it on holidays where it left me kinda melancholic in the end. 😶

Hey Litsy friends, I'm back! I have the most stupid reason for my absence but a reason anyway: So I read this book and I didn't know what it was about and then out of a sudden part of it played in Dresden. My hometown and the town I try to return to for quite some time now. Back then I had a job application going and I really liked the thought of my next post being combined about how I got the job and read the book about Dresden at the same time.

mellissimo Well, sadly I didn't get the job but was so excited about this post that it didn't feel right to post anything else here first for a while. (I know that sounds stupid🙈) But I'm still searching and I miss Litsy and could use your guys support, so I'm back and those are all the books I read in the meantime. I will post the reviews and thoughts about them in the next days 😊 12mo
TheKidUpstairs So lovely to see you back! I wish you best of luck with your search. 12mo
sprainedbrain Glad you‘re back! I‘m sorry you didn‘t the job you had wanted. Wishing you the best of luck at finding something even better. 😃 12mo
mabell I completely understand! It took the wind out of your sails. 😞 But glad you're back, and you'll find something just right! ❤️ Looks like you've gotten some good reading done! 😊 12mo

I'm sure when i moved into this flat 4 years ago there was some logic behind my bookshelves. But I always have to many books and not enough space so i just put them where there is some space left - like book tetris 🙈 I still know exactly which book to find where! ^^

I would love to own and read the tagged book since I'll travel to japan this summer 😁

Congrats to you @jwashreads and thanks for the giveaway!

mabell How cool! Where are you going in Japan? 13mo

mellissimo @mabell Thanks! ❤ I'm already soooo excited! I've never been outside europe so far. 13mo
jwashreads That sounds like so much fun! And there are never enough bookshelves! I'm currently storing two book cases worth on the floor around the edges of my dining room (one of my book cases broke...and it was over full). Someone should do a giveaway of bookshelves instead of books! 13mo
Moony Meine Bücherregale quillen auch langsam über! Aber es gibt einfach immer wieder tolle Bücher die mur über den Weg laufen! Übrigens das "Farben" Buch ust klasse! Es bringt so Spaß darin zu blättern. 13mo
mellissimo @jwashreads Oh ja! That's a inspiration for the next giveaway on litsy! 😂 I also have a corner like this. But I store these books under my desk. Then it looks at least a bit as if they belong there. 13mo
mellissimo @Moony Ich finde das Buch auch klasse! Ich lese schon seit Weihnachten darin. Es enthält einfach so viele Informationen und ist auch wunderschön anzusehen. 13mo
sander1095 Seems like you need more bookshelves then! 13mo
