Cute charms found in my Chapters and Charms candle (you can find them on Etsy). You burn the candle and pull out the charms as they get revealed. Love the bookshelf print on this one. With all the snow, reading with candles and tea makes things much cozier.

While my candle collection comes nowhere near my book collection, I have quite a lot of candles. Floral scents really bother me, so my go to candle #Scent tends to be some sort of food. My house often smells like baking! #Gratitude30

AlaMich I have never heard of Frostbeard candles before. Do they really attempt to smell like their names? I‘m thinking Lallybroch probably didn‘t smell too good, inside at least. What with the not bathing and all the smoke etc...😉 6y

swishandflick @AlaMich Their candles are my favorite, I have yet to order one that I don't love. Their scents are inspired by their names, and they list the notes on the front there, so the Lallybroch candle is whiskey, peat moss, and firewood 😄 6y

MKbookworm Lallybrock is great. Peat is one of my favorite smells. This lets me smell it without all the added smoke of an actual peat fire 👍🏻. Bookworm and Sassenach are my two favorites. 6y

I haven't tried the "new books" or "old books" ones yet so I can't vouch for those specifically, but I've loved the scent of every candle I've gotten from them. My favorites so far are Winterfell, Sassenach, and Reading at the Cafe ❤️ (edited) 6y

A new obsession of mine - bookish candles! I've heard wonderful things about The Melting Library but the turnaround time is a bit too lengthy to order from on the reg. Does anyone have recommendations for Etsy shops? Hard to know where to start 😂

JenP I make bookish candles but am taking a short break to restock and make new fragrances so I won‘t plug my store 😬 I think melting library has great fragrances and really pretty candles but when i ordered, it took 4 weeks to arrive so that was a bit much. Granted that was over the holiday season. 6y

JenP I will say that i sell mine for about $14 per candle and that seems to be the going rate for soy candles (regular size). Etsy kills with shipping costs though. I will look through my prior purchases and see if there are any more affordable ones I‘ve liked from other stores 6y

Ya, the shipping is killer, so I was hoping to buy a few from one shop to save there. $14 sounds reasonable - I probably shouldn't have called the Melting Library "pricey", it mostly just felt pricey for the 3-4 week wait (though I totally understand and respect the hand pouring, etc.) 6y

JenP @swishandflick she has a bunch of candles for $7.50 which is a bargain - if you are willing to wait up to 4 weeks. I think her candles are awesome but slow to make. I hand pour each individual candle made to order and generally takes me 2 days to ship out. But I‘m much smaller scale than her candles. 6y

Amanda.T I‘ve recently fallen down the bookish candle rabbit hole too. I‘ve ordered from Canterbury Road Co. on Etsy. Last time I ordered, shipping was delayed due to complications from Hurricane Irma, so not sure what the current wait is. 6y

megt Bookish candles are wonderful! I‘ve ordered from A Court of Candles (they‘re on Etsy and also have a separate website) and was really happy with the candles I got. @Megaled is my go to source for ideas on where to find candles so I‘m sure she can recommend more shops! 6y
