Easter Egg | Jason Acar
post image

Hello Littens! Anybody keen for a free copy of this e-book? All I ask is that you write and post an honest review 🤗
Easter Egg is a nail-biting thriller combining gaming, VR and psychological manipulation 😱. I devoured it and I‘m sure you will too 🤩 Let me know and I‘ll email you a copy.💃🏽

This isn‘t a genre a usually read, but WOW did I devour this book. Quite the page turner.
It‘s a brand new title. I read the kindle version which is available on Amazon now.

Easter Egg by Jason Acar.
This isn‘t a genre a usually read, but WOW did I devour this book. Quite the page turner. It‘s brand new so isn‘t in the litsy database yet. I tagged a children‘s book with the same title, but this is DEFINITELY not a children‘s book 😉
I read the kindle version which is available on Amazon now.

JasonAcar Hey Haanim. Thank you. I added my real book now, so no more need to direct to the children's book... HAHAHAHAHA (edited) 4y

In this book the protagonist begins a giveaway project, where she gives away one item each day. Her reason for doing it is rather sad, but it did inspire me to do something similar, new year and all 🤷🏽‍♀️😅
Hopefully I can keep it up!

LMJenkins I read this book, but don‘t remember anything about giveaways? Maybe I need to re-read! 5y
haanim @LMJenkins I can‘t jog your memory without dropping spoilers 😂 it wasn‘t a major plot point though, just one of the things she did, I guess as a coping mechanism. 5y

I didn‘t spend a lot of time on Litsy in 2018 and I did not have a great reading year in 2018. That is no coincidence. I‘ve set my goal at a more realistic number this time and I‘ll see how it goes. Happy new year all! 💜💫

Loved this book. I started out thinking “this woman is ridiculous” and laughing out loud at all of her quirks. But as the details of her life are revealed I started feeling intensely sad for her.

Ok so I actually woke up early to finish this before work 😆 I absolutely needed to finish it before leaving for my holiday this evening. So glad I finished!

I need the next book RIGHT NOW! I‘m not not usually into fantasy novels, but this one had me hooked right from the start. I LOVED it! I loved every character, but I resonated with Amari 💜👸🏾

It feels weird to say that I enjoyed a book about the Rwandan Genocide, but in truth, I did. Or maybe it‘s better to say that I was captivated. The writing was simply brilliant. I really don‘t know what else to say. I am still speechless and furious. The so-called international community really failed Rwanda.

minkyb Well said. 6y

This book starts off dripping with teenage angst and then develops through a range of human emotions. The writing is beautiful: embellished, but lucid. A searing read about passion and holding someone dear.

I‘m having a very wild New Year‘s Eve - summarizing 2017‘s reading 🤘🏽😆
I tend to just follow my reading feelings and I haven‘t made a conscious effort to read diversely. I don‘t do resolutions, but in 2018 I do want to try to do better when it comes to reading more diverse authors. I‘m also on a mission to read more African authors, especially South African. Let‘s do this 2018 👊🏽

I don‘t usually read romance novels. And at times this felt like a romance novel, but it was more than that. By half way it was a tense drama. And by the end I was a puddle of tears. It‘s a goody that I couldn‘t put down. It‘s 3am here and I just finished it 😅 goodnight! ✌🏽

I wish I‘d read this around 2011-2012. It could have been a benefit. Great little book that‘s written earnestly. It‘s not a scientific or medical exploration of depression and anxiety. It‘s a heartfelt account of the author‘s experience.

Didn‘t manage to complete any of the challenges I took on in 2017, ( #LitsyAtoZ or #ReadHarder ) except my Goodreads challenge. I‘m cool with not completing them, but I think they dictated my reading a bit too much and I wasn‘t always feeling it.

There's so much I can say about this book, but I really do understand all the hype and attention it received. It is brilliant. Heartbreaking. Infuriating.

One minute you're reading and things seem relatively calm and then chaos erupts almost seamlessly. I felt unsafe reading it. And I think the author did this on purpose, because when you're a slave on the run, you can't allow yourself to feel safe. 👇🏽cont...

haanim Also made me question why I've never read a novel about slavery set in my own country, even though we have an extensive history of slavery in South Africa. 6y
haanim ALSO it made me sit staring into space, thinking about slavery until I had tears in my eyes. We must never stop talking about slavery and the effect it's had on the makeup of this world. 6y
