Hunter Shea has done it again! His work with cryptids is unmatched. To the Devil, a Cryptid by Hunter Shea is a tale of blood and total mayhem. And per usual with Hunter Shea, the story is terrifying, but it‘s also an absolute blast to read!

This is a must read for fans of violent and intense horror with a bit of a B-Movie vibe.

The Unknown Man by Natalie Hanson is a tale about an FBI agent that is blackmailed into taking on a case. Thinking she will handle things quickly, she has absolutely no idea what she is really about to walk into.

This book is intense! From the pacing of the storyline itself, to the punches that the author throws left and right, this book will leave you stunned!

Wicked Blood by E.C. Hanson is a vivid and unsettling tale of a family falling into chaos. With one part slasher and one part struggling family dynamic, this story is fast-paced and unputdownable!

Reading this tale is like watching a scary movie through your fingers; you‘ll be terrified of what is to come, but you also can‘t wait to see it all play out!

Slice of Paradise: A Beach Vacation Horror Anthology edited by Ben Long and Andrew Robert is a collection of stories filled with sun, sand, and terrifying situations.

As an island girl from Maine, I may not have frequented tropical beaches, but I‘ve sure got salt water in my blood. This collection was a hit for me!

I‘m grateful that I won‘t be venturing onto a beach anytime soon.

Below by Laurel Hightower is a deeply unsettling and terrifying tale of a woman who was dealt blow after blow while on the road, trying to get to a girls weekend.

Laurel does a killer job getting readers to think things may actually go well, right up until they don‘t… I so wanted our main character, Addy, to make it to where she was going.

Nute I read cover to cover as well, every word contained in every inch of space! Your article was very interesting and fun to read. I have come across statements in the Acknowledgments of some books that made me chuckle. I‘ve never read an extension of the story in the Font Type disclosure. That was cool in the example of NOS4A2.
