Slowly working my way through Christie's works. I was excited to get to this one since the movie recently came out. It was a little slow going at first with a lot of character set up but I really enjoyed the twist in the end

I almost made this a pick, but I‘m not sure I liked it enough. The pacing was sloooooow and I struggled to stay interested. Once the murder *finally* happened, I had it figured out early and that‘s always a little disappointing. Still, it was well written (if dated) and I enjoyed the little bits of humor.

This will be on the way home to you tomorrow, @persephone1408 😃
Enjoyed my book club‘s June selection…my first Christie in decades, but definitely not my last! And now I can check out the movie adaptations (my librarian said she prefers the original…but I do have a soft spot for Kenneth Branagh!).
⭐️⭐️⭐️ 1/2
Finished this one sitting outside enjoying the nice weather this morning. I enjoyed it! #LMPBC #GroupL @sprainedbrain @persephone1408 @TheSpineView
A little #lunchtimereading on the fine Friday. I just had to get out of the office.
This one I am on the fence about. It is somewhere between a So-so and a pick. The beginning was so slow. The murder doesn't take place until the halfway point. It was hard to get into the story. I stuck with it because it was a book for #LMPBC I didn't feel any remorse for the victim and most of characters I didn't care for. 3.5 ⭐
Skip the movie, but definitely read the book. Thankfully, I read the book first and just saw the movie as a follow up. I would skip it for sure. But the book is classic and artful Agatha Christie!
I am such a huge mystery fan, so I can‘t believe that I have never read Agatha Christie. This is my first one 😁
Given that this was copyrighted in 1937, wow. I'm excited to finish watching the movie, also. Ensemble cast, and twisty. A little annoying that it was impossible to predict without other information not supplied until the end of the book, coupled with the fact that while poirot was the protagonist, even his own revelations were seldom revealed. 7/10.
Death on the Nile is on Hulu. I wanted to see it in theaters but just didn‘t get to it.
I‘m already annoyed with the beginning. I‘m hoping it gets better and stays closer to the story! And I love Gal Gadot 💚

Another fun murder mystery from the Grand Dame Agatha Christie. I wasn't certain who-dun-it, but I had my suspicions and I was correct. If I learned anything from trying The Mysterious Affair at Styles on audio, it is that I need to actually read these books to help keep the people straight. Sure, I needed a cheat sheet early on to help me remember who each person was in relation to the others, but it all came together for me ⬇️
Coffee, daffodils freshly cut from my own garden, and an Agatha Christie. Perfect evening at home😍

I mailed it a few days ago... I seem to have lost the tracking number. Please lmk when you get it, or if you don't and I'll look more.
This is my favorite Christie mistery, mostly due to the quality of the love triangle and the very clever murder.
Also, it was nice finishing it outside 😁
The prompt #river immediately had me thinking of this movie! I can‘t wait to watch 🙏🏻

This was a reread for me. I‘m glad I found something I could focus on to distract me as I‘ve been feeling depressed. I received some bad news a few days ago that has me really down, but it was good to spend some time with Poirot.
Agatha fooled me again!! I‘d totally ruled out the actual culprit and she surprised me! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I had all the information Poirot did, yet I didn't have it figured out. This is why I am not a detective. Another brilliant mystery by the queen. As always, she keeps you guessing until the end. #bookspin for March. @TheAromaofBooks
I absolutely love Agatha Christie and this book was great too! She doesn‘t disappoint!! Another good murder mystery by her. Tip: stick to who you first thought as a suspect😉
As always very interesting to read and of course i was again like: ,,THAT PERSON DID IT!,, and when it comes to the how i have no clue but i don't even need to cause i get the killer wrong almost every time!
My 3rd Christie. I understand this is one of the best.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This brilliant murder mystery stands the test of time. Not only is it exceedingly clever, but it also has all of the juicy drama to keep the pages turning - beautiful people, an exotic location, money, love, heartbreak, betrayal… I loved Hercule Poirot‘s panache and his insights on the human experience. I‘m excited to see the movie and hope it does it justice! #BOTM
Other duties as assigned! Today I‘m making nice.

30 more minutes to watch the tagged book. I love this theater. 😍💛
Great movie I love Kenneth portrayal of Poirot. Even knowing the outcome it was intense to watch.

So I looked thru my books & this was all I could come up with. If these aren't good... I can figure something else out. @BookishBelle @sprainedbrain @TheSpineView
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Every Christmas I ask for an Agatha Christie book via my work‘s Secret Santa, and they delivered on it this year!
I‘m always amazed at Christie‘s humor & modernity, even though this book is 85 years old. And she brings in so many characters but somehow makes it easy to keep track of everyone.
One red herring after another shows up, and I was happily shocked by the reveling of the culprit. Looking forward to seeing the movie soon!
Apparently today was International Book Giving Day. From my wife.
Saw this one yesterday on my #DateNight it was so good! Try to catch it if you can :)

“That‘s her!” said Mr. Burnaby, the landlord of The Three Crowns.

I‘m not much of a re-reader, but I want to see the upcoming movie and I think it‘s worth refreshing my memory!
#FoodandLit buddy readers!
How did you like Death on the Nile? Did you predict the murderer?
For me 4/5 ⭐️ I enjoyed the mystery! I like Poirot! I wished there was more about Egypt. My murderer thoughts will be in a spoiler comment.
Thanks for reading with me!

#BookspinBingo and #20in4 January wrap-up!
Can't believe I pulled it off but 7 books for January even with a major slump. This readathon was just the sprint I needed to complete my goals!
And I actually got around to reading the book before the movie comes out!
Thanks @Andrew65 for hosting!
Finished this today - another great Agatha Christie book - can‘t wait for the movie!

#WeekendVibes A good book with a perfect coffee.
☕☕
I like strong black turkish coffee without sugar the same as they like in Egypt. Sometimes I add some milk but not always. I don't have coffee mashine in my house I always cooked coffee in cezve.
How do you prepare your coffee? Which is your favourite?
