I‘m going to give this a pick because I still enjoy the Bridgertons as a whole and love Eloise on the show (though she can be frustrating!), but if I had to pick one this would be my least favorite so far. It‘s not bad at all, just long with too much exposition for my taste and not enough action/dialogue. I do think Eloise and Phillip are a good couple and am interested to see how it plays out in the show. 3.5⭐️ #Bridgerton #audiobook #regency

I just thought this passage was so funny and too real! Men don‘t want to talk about their feelings (normally) while women obsess over them lol. Made me laugh out loud!

“You will always be a Bridgerton. And we behave with honor and honesty…..because that is what we are”—Anthony to Eloise. And why Anthony will always be my favorite. #SummerReading. #Bridgerton

I‘m obsessed with the Netflix series and can‘t wait for Eloise‘s season so I peeked ahead and read the book. I love the actresses portrayal of Eloise- she‘s so feisty and sassy. Her book does not disappoint. Now I‘ll have to binge the whole Bridgerton series!
I struggled a bit to follow Eloise's actions but I enjoyed her character arc.
The double standards on women irked me in this book more than in the others.
Spoiler warning!
Also I don't think it's okay to not mention once to have kids - that was so quickly brushed off... I understand why it's important for her character but I struggled a bit with that.
Nevertheless, again very amusing to read.

This was a bit of a different love story. Eloise and Sir Phillip write letters back and forth for about a year. Phillip says that perhaps he could arrange for a chaperone for Eloise to visit, and if they get along well enough, perhaps they could marry. Chaos (and love, of course) ensues from there. #SeriesLove2024 @TheSpineView @Andrew65

Sir Phillip knew that Eloise Bridgerton was a spinster, and so he‘d proposed, figuring that she‘d be homely and unassuming, and more than a little desperate for an offer of marriage. Except . . . she wasn‘t. The beautiful woman on his doorstep was anything but quiet, and when she stopped talking long enough to close her mouth, all he wanted to do was kiss her . . . and more.

Ch 4 - in spite of the fact it's told from his POV (3rd person) I don't see anything positive about Philip. The only things we really know about him is that he's a bad father & wants a wife so he can absolve responsibility & escape to his greenhouse.
Ch 5 - starts with Eloise thinking he might be a good catch because of his looks. In spite of the fact she's turned down 6 perfectly good proposals because - we're not told.
Not looking promising.

I didn't like this one as much. I liked Eloise but did not care for Phillip.
This one did not have as much build up as the others.
I did like that the male protagonist already had children. It was a nice change from the others.

Book 5, Eloise. Ploughing on with the series, no Booker Prize shortlist going on here 😆. Good fun as always, although this one didn‘t quite get away with the silliness as the others have - there were lots of red flags and it wasn‘t written so long ago that it shouldn‘t have dealt with pretty major mental health issues much better. Putting this one behind me and moving on…feeling a little irritable that my go-to comfort-read series let me down!

Waking up unexpectedly very early on a Sunday had its perks; I got to finish this book. From the moment I started Bridgerton (and watched the first season) I have loved Eloise. Her fierce independence in a regal world, making sure her voice and opinions were heard even though it wasn‘t always welcomed and making sure she fulfilled her goals before the journey into married life. I love this character, I loved that they stayed true to her.

Love the Bridgerton series! Can‘t wait to see this one on screen!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 🔷 So here‘s my first review in a while. Love this series. Read in April #!! https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/128119209

Round House is making me anxious lol I need something to read when I need a break 🤣

I am beginning to tire of the books, prefer the shows. This time Eloise is getting the finding a husband treatment.
still some have been read, I don't think at all that this comes up to the same level as the other books. I don't like the plot of the book at all and somehow I think there is too little tension and action. Of course, the book can be read, but it is not a favorite and it took a while to read it. I can‘t recommend the book to everyone, but if you read the entire series, you should of course not skip this one. The book is a solid 5/10 I would say.

I enjoyed it but I expected a bit more, I feel like I would like it more if I didn‘t watch the show first.

Halfway through the Bridgerton books!! This is probably the only series where I can honestly say I like the show better than the books. I‘m super interested to see how they spin this one. I honestly struggled to like Phillip for most of this book. To Julia‘s defense, she writes a man perfectly lol.

I LOVED this story. I hope they get this far in the Netflix series. Eloise is amazing! #WorkingMyWayThroughTheBridgertons #5 #Bridgertons

This wasn't my favorite Bridgerton, mainly because the first half lacks Bridgertons - what I enjoy about this series is the siblings en masse, & at first we only have Eloise. I felt like the resolution w/ Phillip's children was somewhat rushed, but overall this was some fun fluff w/ sizzle.

I‘ve heard from a number of people that Eloise‘s story is not the best of the Bridgertons, but I‘m a completist and am going in with my eyes open.

Read this in a day b/c I loved it! Eloise is my absolute favorite and this book ticked off all my boxes for a cute historical romance.

I'm still not entirely convinced that Phillip is good enough for Eloise, but as long as she's happy I suppose I'll have to allow it 😆 3.5⭐️

I love that Eloise found a man worthy of her. The hints of him in previous books had me worried. I missed the scandal sheet which surprised me. A fun read and I had a hard time putting the book down.

12-15-21: My 126th finished book of 2021! Book 5 in the Bridgerton series. Phillip is in need of a wife and a mother for his twins. After a letter of condolence from Eloise sparks his interest, a year long correspondence is started. When the subject of marriage is brought up, Eloise, a 28 year old spinster, is intrigued. Frothy and fun, these books never disappoint. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 👍🏼📖#️⃣1️⃣2️⃣6️⃣

Out of all the Bridgerton sibling I was most excited about Eloise‘s story. The fact that her pursuit of romance was approached so logically was perfectly Eloise. I was so happy she found a man who was intellectual and warm.

I‘ve never read so many romances in my life 😂! But I am engulfed in this series!

#CuriousCovers Day 30 #Lovers
#4 in the series. Romance isn‘t a big part of my reading but it‘s nice once in awhile to fall into a love story. I am interested in Eloise‘s story. I hope she maintains her independence even as she falls in love.
That‘s a wrap on 30 days of exploring my TBR.

Book 5 of the Bridgeton series ✉️✍🏻🌹

Another delightful love story. This time we‘re following Eloise. She has been corresponding with a man for some time, and when he invites her to visit, she decides to take him up on his offer.

Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This was a good book. I‘ve been really enjoying the Bridgerton series and thankfully I can binge the last three books after this since they finally came in from the library. I liked the children, Phillip, and Eloise. I did get a bit annoyed that Phillip only wanted Eloise to be a mother.

A great vacation read for my first trip in over a year! I was a plane within 48 hours of being fully vaccinated and it was desperately needed after a few brutal months at work. Feeling lucky to have been able to get some sun in Miami, to have gotten both shots, and to have made it through the last year. Eloise‘s story is cute; picturing the characters from the show makes it even more fun. #romantsy

At first I wasn‘t sure about this one as Eloise left her family to go see Phillip, but I was sucked in to her story and wanted to just keep listening.

Some may say these books are #fatuous, but haters can keep right on hating as I gleefully binge-read the entire series. #SpringSentiments #Bridgerton
@Eggs

Ahhh Bridgerton. I love Eloise, she‘s so endearing. Sir Phillip was a little odd, but he does grow on you!
