🤯🤔Why, oh why, has this been collecting dust on my shelves unread for so long??? A must read imo for anyone interested in forensics & crime investigation. A phenomenal book filled with so much knowledge, information & insight. Can‘t recommend it enough!

I highly recommend this book, it's a most fascinating read.

If constant talk of maggots and rotting flesh isn‘t your thing, avoid this like COVID. Naturally I found it fascinating. Dr. Bass is a bit “old school” but he really has contributed an incalculable amount to the field of forensics. 👍🏼

We watched The Body Farm this week. Sadly it only ran for 1 season but it reminded me that I‘ve had this NF on my shelf for years. It is utterly fascinating and utterly gross. Also love discovering when used books I purchase are library discards.

This good book has been on my bookshelf for far too long. Dr. Bill Bass shares how he became interested in forensic anthropology and the progression of his career. Fascinating story of how the body farm came into existence and grew. He talks about his relationship with Patricia Cornwell and her book The Body Farm. #MountTBR #ReadingUSA2019 #Tennessee

I'm still in the dreaded reading slump. Not wanting to ditch reading altogether, I've been listening to lots of audiobooks lately.

Death's Acre is a great book if you enjoy forensic science. It tells the humble beginnings of Body Farm and also the life of Dr. Bass as a forensic scientist.

If you are squeamish-don‘t read this book. Dr Bass tells how he started the first body farm and goes into detail about the decomposition process. The nurse in me found it fascinating.

I love getting books with notes from the previous owner.

Reading this one today! I‘ve always wanted to visit the Body Farm in Tennessee (just 4 hours away from me!) but it‘s a research only facility... so this is as close as I‘ll probably ever get.

And the curse continues! Sooo many awesome books at The Bookworm, but no monies 😢.

This book was so much better than I expected. I'm on a true crime podcasts kick and since I can't listen at work, I'm now reading all my true crime. LOVE this book. I have always been interested in the body farm, and was excited to find a book on the subject!! It was very interesting and easy to understand. With just enough humor mixed in with the gory details.. It made for a very enjoyable read.

Hot cider and a WONDERFUL book to start my day. Highly recommend this book. It's SO interesting.. And the authors sense of humor is excellent. I wish I could've had him as a teacher. This is the first book of my 2017 #readingchallenge 😊
