This novel was a magical and transformative fairy tale. I loved the idea of waking up every morning and singing to willow trees. The bonus short story was also good. I'd like to call attention to the acknowledgments. I think the author had important things to say to tie it all together.

This book has been optioned for a movie, so I thought I‘d read it. It is one she wrote before writing historical fiction. There seems to be a a time warp in which she is able to see how her life would have been if her husband hadn‘t suddenly died. 🐶 Bandette is a little embarrassed by her shaggy look this morning! #DogsOfLitsy
