I love this book because it teaches the audience about real life. Not only does it talk about culture but about water. I think it is so important to teach kids about culture especially the indigenous people because we don't often know much about their lives.

Children‘s picture book about the Ojibwe tribe fighting to preserve their water when the black snake of oil comes through their land. The story tell the importance of water, and I can see why it would be nicer to showcase more on its namesake. Water protectors and how they‘re doing it. Good Native American representation either way.
