⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I can always count on Beatriz Williams for a fun, page-turning read. Lots of twists in this one, with WWI and 1920s Florida as the background.
I finished the book on the Disney Fantasy 🚢. My little Cinderella is on the staircase for her post makeover photo sesh. 😁

Twisty and tense. Virginia finds herself in Florida after the death of her husband. But what was Simon up to when he died - and what does it mean for his widow and daughter. The story flashes back and forward between 1922 and the First World War where she was working as a nurse in France when she met her husband. But then men in Virginia‘s life have not been tremendously trustworthy in the past.

I picked all of these up for $12 at the used bookstore! Anybody see any gems or recommendations?❤️📚❤️

Right when I was ready to give up due to lack of interest, the story picked up and I couldn't put it down; then it started floundering before it got ridiculous, by which time I just wanted to find out what happened and the ending was more ridiculous still. The only reason it got any stars at all is because the parts that were good were really good

Puzzle pieces, I just said that! So, I guess I'm supposed to be feeling this way because so is the main character. I get it now, this is an unreliable narrator story. I'm sorry it took me over 200 pages to finally put that together, I'm far too trusting.

I don't know why it's taking me so long to read this. I'm enjoying it but it is giving me a headache. Usually books with alternating timelines don't confused me and I like putting all the little pieces together but this one is maybe giving me too little from so much going on. I have all this pieces but nowhere to put them yet. It doesn't quite feel like they are all to the same puzzle. Time to keep going and hope somethings come together soon.

Not only did someone find my book before it ran away but the closers must have realized it was mine because it was sitting right in front of my register when I walked in! Hooray.

Story time. I picked this outof my #TBRjar last night, started it and got pretty into it. Well this afternoon my boyfriend brought my kids to pick me up from work and my daughter offered very nicely to hold the book for me while I used the restroom. Long story short she left it sitting on a table. I hope someone noticed and put it in the office. I'm sure they did and it'll be there in the morning but I HAVE NOTHING TO READ TONIGHT!!

Now this is vacation! It's not Florida but the pages are still curling in the humidity. #beatrizbinge

This is a solid pick... just when I thought it was getting a little too convoluted and twisty, things starting to click in to place with the mystery. Not the best writing, but a good story and engaging characters. I am a total sucker for historical fiction and the settings (time and place) are very well done. I really liked the narrators, too!

I liked this. I enjoyed the Florida setting during prohibition, and the flashbacks to WWI. It wasn‘t terribly suspenseful, but it was definitely a decent mystery. I‘m giving this a solid 3 and 1/2 stars.

I‘m getting started on the bases for the topiaries I‘m making for the front porch. There‘s nothing quite like #AudioCrafting or #AudioPainting on a beautiful day! 😁🎨🎧

I can tell this is well written and the story is interesting, but I‘m having a really tough time getting past the voice of this narrator. She‘s not doing a bad job, I think it‘s just a personal preference thing. Her voice irritates me. I‘m really REALLY trying to get past it, but it‘s bumming me out. 🙁

I‘m nowhere near a beach, though I have a beach towel in my wardrobe. So here‘s a book with a beach towel draped over a girl sitting by the beach on the cover. I have not read this author but have seen much love for her on Litsy. 🙂

It‘s fun to revisit characters you‘ve already met in prior books. I‘m not sure if this is the end of their story or not so I‘ll be curious to see where this one goes.

Love this cover art, the 1920s (daring) swim apparel, the curls peeking out from under a fashionable scarf...good story too; however, I realized later this is part of a series and I'm missing some background details/relationships

This was not nearly as good as the other book of hers I had read. Too much back and forth for me. 3 🌟

I adored this book, I highly recommend it to fans of historical fiction. Beatriz William‘s story telling is always rich in lush descriptions, her characters are intriguing, and her writing style flows with ease. Cocoa Beach is a page-turner sure to provide hours of fun reading.
