A nice sweet read. I didn‘t have to think much, which if I read several deep books I need one like that. I did enjoy the setting.

Heard the audiobook after reading the physical book for a few pages. Preferred the audiobook. I liked the book, ok. Especially loved the references to different books sprinkled throughout the book. It does get a little boring in some parts but overall it's a casual chill read. You'll be transported to Scotland & that says everything about the atmospherics in the book. Go for it if you need a cozy comforting read.
Starting 'The bookshop on the corner' 💃, liked the synopsis. Hope I'll enjoy the book as much as the book blurb.
Everything I want in my #bookaboutbooks Even the introduction was fabulous- listing all her favorite places to read and why. If you like books about girls who like books and fall for the grumpy guy who ends up not being all that grumpy, this is the one for you. #BookAboutBooks #BAB
I decided to answer the #WhatYouLove prompt with what I love about books. Here are just a few! What do you love most about reading? #SelfImprovementSept
Took a wee jaunt to #scotland this weekend in the form of two rom-coms.
The tagged book was utterly delightful and I‘ll be looking into Colgan‘s other books.
The other was a low to middling meh (the protagonist was just a bit tstl for my liking).
Interestingly, both featured the heroine helping out with a lambing (and twins in both!)... so is that now a standard thing on rom-com novels set in 🏴?
😂 🐑 🤷🏻♀️
This is one of my favorite #bookstore books, but I‘m pretty much happy to read any books set in a bookshop. #LetsTravelAugust
My sister-in-law got me a giftcard to one of my favorite local indie bookstores! She lives in a different state, so she must have called them up and the store mailed it to me with these cute bookmarks and a handwritten card with a note she must have given over the phone. What a sweet and thoughtful gift! (And they ship too if you don‘t have any local indies in your area and want to support a small business!)
Nina takes a leap of faith to #VivalaVida in Scotland, following her bibliophile heart to accomplish her dream of having her own book mobile.
Super cute, light read! Gave me a light case of the travel bug 🙈✈️🏴

@Gissy You nailed it and your generosity amazes me. I love every single thing you picked out for me. Thank you so much!
( I ate the chocolate before I could take a picture. It was delicious)

Another reread, this one to get back into the setting for the new book. I don't think I liked this one as much as I did the first time. Still a pick, though.
#BookishBingo: Read outside
#RippedBodiceBingo: Takes place in multiple countries
Cute story, implausible, predictable, but still sweet. Main character is a little vapid which is frustrating but I assume she's just written as naive. Basic premise is mousy protagonist finds a new life by opening a mobile book shop away from her home and the story of romantic life. Beach read, entertaining if you don't need too much meat and can suspend belief. My only beef is the title.
I loved everything in this that involved books but the romance? Not so much. I found myself really relating to Nina in the beginning and found her inspiring as she took her leap of faith and left everything that was comfortable and easy behind. Then the romance came in and I found myself getting more and more disinterested. All in all give it a 3/5 🌟
Took a little #audiowalk through the eastern part of my #LitsyNeighbourhood. @MrBook
I live close to a large intersection. It's not very calm here, but tram and buses in good walking distance. Also in walking distance, the bakery and behind it a lot of office buildings, a small college, and lots of rose bushes along the road.

Eh. I wanted to finish it to find out what happened, but this will be my first and last Jenny Colgan.
See my posts with spoilers to see why I disliked the main character, Nina, so much. Pretty much every interaction she has with a man of romantic interest makes me want to punch things. Mostly, her. Square in the face.
Oh and this was my face the entire last hour of the book: 🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄
Well, I still hate romance. 🤷🏻♀️
Ugghhh 🙄
HE TURNED AROUND? WITH A BLEEDING LAMB‘S LITTLE SWEET LIFE AT STAKE?
Omg I hate them both.
Okay, I‘m sorry, but Nina is really pissing me off just now. NOW is not the time to be like, “why are you so mean Lennox take me with you Lennox whine whine whine” when dude has a BLEEDING BABY LAMB IN HIS LAP THAT HE‘S TRYING TO GET TO THE VET! I really just want to punch Nina in the face. GET OUT THE WAY!
Sorry IDK how to spell his name - audio 🤷🏻♀️
Set in a bookshop: The Bookshop on the Corner
Highly recommend this book when you want a fun story about starting over. And then there is the mobile bookshop.......

A delightful little book about books. Listened to this on the beach yesterday. Just fun!
Oh my goodness, this book was so charming. I don't typically re-read books, but I think this is one that I'll want to revisit again and again. It's a perfect rainy day or beach read. The author really captured what it's like to be a bibliophile, and made me really want to move to Scotland with a van full of books. I practically have enough stock to start my own Shop of Happily-Ever-Afters. ❤
I tried to get a photo of our insane thunderstorm but I promptly got smacked in the face by sideways rain. 😂 Not my best choice. Anyway, it was literally sunny and 75 and two seconds later it's freezing and the power is out. I was supposed to be working, but I think I'm going to take advantage of my computer being down & finish up this amazing book.
The rain is really immersing me into the Scottish setting right now. 😍
I don‘t know how I missed Jenny Colgan and this book. I loved it! The audio was great and brought the characters to life. I also enjoyed hearing the British and Scottish accents. It was a fun, light read and I loved the idea of the book store in the van - bringing happiness wherever it goes. Makes me want to go to the bookstore...
I've noticed that I take blurry pictures when my glasses are off... not sure why that could be. 🤔😂
This book is next up! So many of you recommended it and I'm excited to dive in. Also, I had a late night cookie craving so I whipped up a batch with dark chocolate, walnuts and sea salt. 🤤🍪
At Beach Town Books today. The husband said he was documenting me in my natural environment. 😏
This is a pick for a lighter/more summer read. I really enjoyed the setting of the Scottish Highlands and the love in which books are treated. It was very cute, not amazing or mind blowing but a fluffy feel-good read. Did have to approach it trying not to be too nit picky though when it came to writing style and content. But a perfect read before my Scotland trip!
I spent Thursday with my BFF, who is about to move across the country. 😢 We were in Mount Dora, a really cool little town in central Florida. While there, we stopped in this interesting bookstore. It‘s not the greatest picture, but we had so much fun identifying the books painted on the building. No, I didn‘t buy any books. Shocker, but our husbands were with us, plus I‘d already bought a hat appropriate for Downton Abbey 😊
I enjoyed this story so much! Nina sets out to start over with not much more than some books and the idea to turn a food truck into a mobile bookshop. 📚 I'm so glad this was on my #NewYearWhoDis list! @Maria514626 @monalyisha
I've been mostly reading books for the Read Harder challenge lately, so I decided to spend some time reading books on my #NewYearWhoDis and #LitsyAtoZ lists for awhile. I'm enjoying this one so far! 📚 @Maria514626 @monalyisha
A love letter to books and the Scottish Highlands, and a little romance thrown in for good measure. ❤️📚❤️
Love Love Love this book!! Its an easy quick read, a perfect summer beach read.
A quick and cozy read, just what I was looking for as a pre-arrival read for a short trip to Scotland.
Picked this book to get in the mood for this last minute trip! Like me, the main character has never been to Scotland...til now!
Here is my list of possibilities for #lmpbc #roundfive #GroupY
What are your thoughts, @leslieseidel @grumpygirlbooks and @DarcysMom ?
⭐️⭐️
I know this is a popular Litsy book! I‘m grabbing it for a couple of my bookish friends.

Nice enough storyline, but not what I was expecting. I enjoyed it, but thought it was rather dragged out. Still, I give it a pick.
Congrats to @Laughterhp 🥳🥳
Recommending the tagged book! Love the message that it‘s never too late to start fresh and follow your dreams, but also the light-heartedness of the book. It‘s also got a great storyline about friendship, and even has a little bit of romance in there.

I can not wait to start this tonight! I loved Little Beach Street Bakery 💕 #jennycolgan #thebookshoponthecorner #ilovereading #booknerd #litsy #kindle #cozybythefire #cozy #fireplace #fire #read #currentlyreading
So I got a bad cold. The weather knock me and this is how it looks my night stand. In general I don't like romances and cozy books, but this is so adorable!!! Also giving books around some towns sounds just amazing!
Thank you so much, @Maria514626 for all the goodies you packed in my #Christmasbookswap package! I can‘t wait to read The Bookshop on the Corner! And the bookmarks and socks are adorable! I see a night filled with tea, chocolate, and a good book in my future! (Also, sorry it took me approximately 85 million years to post this picture.)

My latest #thriftstorehaul. I got home and realized I already had a copy of Brown Girl Dreaming, though. 🙄 One of the downsides to having so many books!
