I love reading other people‘s mail.
It was so lovely to spend time with Jane again but as I got towards the end, I got quite sad.
I started this in 2022 and finally finished it as part of my #finishwhatyoustarted readathon

Well researched, but the chapters were very long, except for 2 of them. I never knew about a Women's Orchestra at Auschwitz. The Nazis made them play for the people arriving at the platform where the prisoners were sent right to live or left to die.

This took me a minute to get into but by the end, I was just enchanted by the cast of sweet, quirky characters, the magic of the inn, and the story of Sera trying to get her magic back. I'm generally not a fan of fantasy but this was exactly what I needed right now and I'll need to add more cozy fantasy to my stacks!
First book finished in my #finishwhatyoustarted readathon and one of my picks from #trappedinaspookyhouse

It‘s time for the #finishwhatyoustarted readathon to clear out whatever you need to get finished before the end of the year! I was hoping to start strong and finish something this weekend but I just got a notification from the library that 3 holds are in and I still have six in the house so I should prolly work on those!

I know I‘m a mood reader and even the idea of a November TBR will probably mean I read none of these books, I wanted to at least TRY to plan some reading - I‘ve been doing a lot of digital ARCs and library books and I want this to be more of a physical book month (clear those messy shelves!!) The Kingdoms is a #finishwhatyoustarted pick and I‘m hoping to get a couple other half read books wrapped up too, just not sure which.

I am committed to finishing this, hopefully in November but absolutely in 2025. I started it in 2014, it was a gift. My plan then was to read a chapter a month. It is so full of information and real life stories, it can be overwhelming and break your heart. Today I read schizophrenia; “autism is characterized by an over abundance of synaptic connectivity, schizophrenia is marked by a dearth of it.” #nonfictionnovember #finishwhatyoustarted

A little behind thanks to so much baseball 💔 so Sunday morning is for reading up for #sundaybuddyread with my coffee in a cup from Nice where I went to museums full of Picassos and my reading chair TBR is updated to include #finishwhatyoustarted #allergictochunksters #nonfictionnovember #literarycrew and my latest mini Lego set

I‘m too tired to make a pretty Canva graphic for November‘s #BookSpinBingo list, so a Note on my phone and prettied up with PicCollage will have to do!
This year went downhill fast, and my reading has taken a significant hit the last couple of months. #FinishWhatYouStarted will hopefully be a good push to read the 30+ books I‘ve started this year but have failed to finish, and I really want to get in some nonfiction for Nonfiction November.
