Disappointing thriller. I don't get the hype. But on that note, I did finish it in two days. 😂

A fun thriller that is a bit of a twist of Strangers on a Train. We read various viewpoints which tell various stories of infidelity, murder and deception. A lot of fun and I look forward to the next book in the series. 4⭐️
This was a pretty good book. A little slow in the beginning but it got better as it went along. It‘s a bit like Patricia Highsmith‘s Strangers on a Train, but this is strangers on a plane, with a bit of a twist. You will find that Lily‘s moral compass is a bit skewed. #SeriesLove2023 @Andrew65 @TheSpineView
“A tantalizing set-up reminiscent of Patricia Highsmith‘s classic Strangers on a Train…”

This psychological thriller follows the story of Ted Severson, who meets a mysterious woman named Lily at an airport bar. They strike up a conversation, and Ted confides in her that he wants to kill his unfaithful wife. To his surprise, Lily offers to help him. As the two delve deeper into their twisted plan, the story becomes a complex web of lies, deceit, and betrayal.
⭐️⭐️⭐️ I really liked this when I read it a few years ago, so a refresh before the sequel seemed like a good call. Not nearly as good as I remembered; cardboard characters, marginal plot. Obviously some of that opinion is due to remembering, however vaguely, the twist. Rereading thriller types is sketchy business and I don‘t usually do it. I still preordered The Kind Worth Saving. Idk why. When curiosity gets me, I‘m usually disappointed.
Yesterday‘s insane winds took 5 beautiful pines from our tree line. We are SO sad. 😢 Thankfully, everyone‘s safe and nothing else is damaged. They fell simply onto grass. Just an expensive nuisance to clean up. Today, I gathered the small branches while listening to the tagged #reread in preparation for the sequel!
Well, that was sure a ride! This has got to be the twistiest Peter Swanson book I‘ve ever read, and it is full to the brim with psychopaths. My husband and I both liked it. Continued with Desert Star on my #audiowalk, and I‘m liking it, but I would never ever want to be Bosch‘s supervisor. He‘d be a huge pain in the ass!
We took a drive to the beach today and listened some more to The Kind Worth Killing. We‘re about halfway through, and it took a twist we were not expecting at all. Listened to Moonflower Murders on my walk; I still have almost 4 hours left! #audiowalk. It‘s been two years since a hurricane destroyed that boardwalk in the pic above, and it hasn‘t been fixed yet. Only part of that trail is walkable. 😞
WHOA! Where did this author come form? Lol! If you need a pager turner, this is your guy!
Loved this book! I also need to mention Kitchen Confidential by Anthony Bourdain 😢

An excellent thriller. Smart and well written. Peter Swanson is one of the best thriller writers at the moment. Also check out his Eight rules for a perfect murder. #Alphabetgame

I LOVED this book!! 🖤🖤🖤
Everyone tagged! Share a book beginning with the letter k that you enjoyed!!
I feel like this is the Swanson book everyone recommends, and I finally got around to reading it. While not as frenetic as some of his other stories, the pacing was still excellent and kept me turning the pages. My only real eye-roll with Swanson's writing in general is that literally every character he writes is somewhat obsessed with/primarily motivated by sex, which gets old to me. Still, a great thriller with some fun twists.
Le voilà! July's bookspin.
Just in case I finish some of these books in June, I even have a subs bench to replace them 🙃

I already read one of the #roll100 picks for this month (🥳) so the two other picks are The Kind Worth Killing & Will Smith's autobiography. I'll be honest, after the Oscars I've not been massively enthused about reading the latter, but I guess I shall see...
📚 yes!! Lily, my favorite sociopath!! From the tagged book!
📚📚 I‘ll just say The Nightingale, Suzanne‘s Diary for Nicholas, and The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo!!
📚📚📚 Jesmyn Ward, John Grisham, William Faulkner, Eudora Welty, Greg Iles, Angie Thomas

This is a smart book with a well thought out plot -- except for the ending. The twists and turns kept taking me by surprise, and it was a very enjoyable read, even though the character voices were rather similar (3rd person limited might have worked better than 1st person POV for each character). ⬇️
This was my #bookspin for April, and finally I'm caught up with my bookspins for the year! @TheAromaofBooks

From the author of the acclaimed The Girl with a Clock for a Heart—hailed by the Washington Post as crime fiction‘s best first novel of 2014”—a devious tale of psychological suspense involving sex, deception, and an accidental encounter that leads to murder that is a modern reimagining of Patricia Highsmith‘s classic Strangers on a Train.
Everyone in this book is trying to kill everyone else. Every charactor was unlikable but there was one I kinda wanted to get away with everything. The end was abrupt and, while it seems obvious what must happen next, I wanted more of those details. In all it was an entertaining ride.
I really enjoyed this one!! Will definitely be reading more from the author
⭐️⭐️⭐️✨
Gripping, tricky and well written That ending 😆
It's a book worth reading 📖
I‘m officially a Peter Swanson fan. This book never let up from the first sentence till the fantastic last one! I‘m calling it “Double Indemnity/ Body Heat 2.0”
Told in the POV of wealthy Ted and mysterious Lily, we as the readers only know what they know. All along I knew there had to be multiple other sides to the sordid story. The lesson here to men is to never trust a woman who wants to always please you sexually.
Read this gem in under 24 hours 😍 I couldn‘t put it down!! #thrillers
This was a wonderful Sunday afternoon read. For a good portion of the book I saw the twists and turns coming. Right up to the point I didn‘t. That was when I began flipping pages at warp speed. At the final reveal, I felt I had been holding my breath for ages. Highly recommend this killer thriller.

Wow I absolutely loved this! So many twists and turns and I loved the ending too

Shout out to tiktok for introducing me to this gem. I think I got whiplash reading this one.. so many plot twists! I know a lot of people didn‘t like the end, but I personally loved it. I was totally caught off guard by that last page 😨.
5/5
This book was FULL of unpredictable twists and turns, especially in the final few chapters. I loved this book. Best book I‘ve read in awhile. 5/5 #March.2.10
Ummm, holy cow! I loved this book. There were a lot of twists and turns that I didn‘t see coming! It was a fast and enjoyable read. 👏🏼 👏🏼
Holy Cow! What the heck is happening! I didn‘t see that coming!
Ok, I need a break from novels. 🤣 Back to my much loved mystery books. Has anyone ever read this one? Tell me your thoughts!
Oh my! Peter Swanson never fails when it comes to plot twists with page turning suspense. He's my second favorite author next to James Patterson. He always gets me surprised, I don't know how he does it. I liked this psychological thrill ride and for once the psycho character in it I found myself liking. 😱 5 stars.
Listen to this audio book after listening to his Eight Perfect Murders on a road trip. Quickly becoming a Peter Swanson fan. Might have to read the next one
Another one down for #TeamSlaughter! This one was good, though not what I was expecting. The joys of never reading the book description 😏 +16 pts

I‘m really disappointed in the abrupt ending of this book... It was originally a 5 star book, easily. However, the ending ruined it for me. 🤷🏻♀️🌟🌟🌟🌟
@Tove_Reads 1. The Kind Worth Killing 2. The entire Harry Potter series. 😬 3. The House in the Cerulean Sea. 🌊 4. Any self help book or book dealing with politics. #questionsandanswers
Okayyy, so, I‘m entirely too excited that McDonald‘s got back the steak egg and cheese bagel. Time for breakfast and a good book. 😁🥩🍳🧀🥯
I am SO excited to be starting this book. Someone recommended it, and I bought it right away. I was waiting to read it but had to finish my Libby book. Let‘s see if it lives up to the hype! 😍📚💕
Wow. Just wow! I didn't see the ending coming and wow! I really enjoyed this book. I am gotta start lending it to my reading coworkers so that they fall in love too! (Thank you again and again @AlwaysBeenALoverOfBooks for this one!)
