So good!!! I think my favorite so far from #LucyFoley. Her characters are always so delightfully despicable, but not in an annoying way…more like a guilty pleasure. Especially when they get their comeuppance 😈

Well I had planned on an entirely different book for my next read but then the new Lucy Foley book became available to me on #NetGalley so sorry Frieda McFadden but you‘re going back on the shelf for a bit.

For a random pick and my first book on #NetGalley this book was surprisingly good. It was a quick read, but not at all skimpy on the suspense and intrigue. It went back and forth in time with each chapter building on the last and had a very unexpected ending. While I‘m not a fan of IRL politics, I do love a good #politicalthriller.
Started this book a couple of hours ago and I‘m more than halfway through. Absolutely cannot put it down. Man‘s inhumanity to man is beyond comprehension but so too can be man‘s resiliency when anchored in faith ❤️
Not a book pic per se but definitely book adjacent 🤔. Combining two of my favorite hobbies, reading and diamond painting, with these bookmarks.

There is so much wrong with this book I don‘t know where to begin. The writing is melodramatic, the characters are annoying and the “plot twist” is so unrealistic that quotes are needed just to call it that. 0 out of 10…would not recommend. Would give it a negative star if that were such a thing.

This book didn‘t have the strongest plot and the story kind of meandered about somewhat but overall it was pretty damn good. My only real complaint is that the female narrator doing the children‘s voices was absolute nails on a chalkboard 🙉. Other than that I was completely engaged with this story.
Started this book on Audible yesterday. I owned it so I‘m sure I‘ve listened to it yet I don‘t remember it at all 🤷🏼♀️ perhaps that‘s a sign that I‘ve read too much? Anyhoo it‘s quite the spicy read 🌶️
This book reminds me of a daytime soap opera. The melodrama is out of this world and everyone is pregnant with the leading man‘s baby. I‘m not holding out high hopes for this one but miracles do sometimes happen…just ask Jack Deveraux. Now I must get back to my stories…
“His mistress is dead. His wife is his only hope.” I guess we‘ll see about that…

This book is the literary equivalent of a ten car pile up. Everytime you think it‘s over another car comes along and BAM! I have whiplash from all the plot twists. That said…it did keep me reading to the end 🤔
They had me at “high stakes arena of private school admissions”…..

This book was like one of those restocking ASMR reels on Instagram…quick, tidy and satisfying. It was an easy read, but I had no problem staying engaged. The characters were well-developed and interesting and the plot was easy to follow. My only gripe was one scene toward the end where I felt the author was a little disingenuous and needlessly heavy-handed in the pursuit of building suspense. But all-in-all an author I will definitely try again.
Progress 25%: Shout out to the setting. Sheer cliffs with crashing waves below…my favorite. There‘s quite a few characters but they‘re distinct and memorable albeit a bit stereotyped. Tension, secrets and cracks are already bubbling to the surface and the wine‘s barely even been uncorked. My interest is definitely peaked…what‘s wrong with Kip? Who‘s sitting on the edge of the cliff? What kind of masochist brings an infant camping?
Getting ready to start my first book of 2024 while I wait to pick up my son. I‘ve never read this author but I absolutely ❤️ a good locked-room mystery!
