Everyone‘s moving on without me, into a world I don‘t understand.
~The Secret Dreamworld of a Shopaholic by Sophie Kinsella ♥️
This book made me cry with laughter. Honestly couldn‘t stop turning the pages. The main characters desire for shopping is one that we can all relate too however she shows exactly why we don‘t give in 😂. I can‘t wait to read the second book. #17 read a book published in the year 2000.
I‘ve never read any of the tagged series - until now! Honestly, my goal was simply to read the original, call the series done, and donate my other books unread. I didn‘t expect to be as entertained as I was, and now I kind of want to keep going. I like Becky Bloomwood!
I finished this days ago and completely forgot to post. I read Christmas Shopaholic last year and loved it, so I knew I had to see where it all started. Rebecca is such a fun and quirky character. Looking forward to continuing this series.

I was a full 2/3 into the book before I actually started enjoying the story and caring about Becky Bloomwood. I‘m surprised I didn‘t DNF, honestly. Of course, the ending wraps up too quickly and there is no way Becky would end up as lucky as she did. For now, I‘m just glad I‘m finished and can move onto something else. I have no idea if I‘ll ever pick up the rest of the series, but I do own them.
Sidenote: I‘ve never seen this movie!
Needed something light after two heavy books. Since I‘m driving a lot for work this week, I chose this Sophie Kinsella because her standalones are so charming. I‘m almost half thru this one, though, and the MC Becky is insufferable!! I‘m going to listen while I drive today but if it doesn‘t start to turn upward soon, I‘m bailing.
I liked Becky more when I read from my paperback this morning, so perhaps I‘m just not clicking with the audio🤷🏻♀️
Day 9: Shopping
It was long my habit to finish holiday shopping before Thanksgiving. I haven't achieved that goal in recent years . . . until this year! Now that the "kids" are grown & flown, gifts tend to be smaller and more expensive. So, even with one more in the family now, the pile is "manageable."

Its reading time...yay! This probably makes me sound like a bad crazy parent but I love my free time. I love my kids but they can be a handful and drive me more insane than I already am. So anyways I am on the last bit of this book. It's taken me awhile becuz I either fall asleep when reading or just am too tired to read. It sucks getting old. Ok I'm shutting up now. 🤞🤞🤞 that I finish it tonight!

Thought this picture that I colored was so fricken cute that I had to share it. Well its listening time for this little mama since the little man is finally put to bed. Happy Reading Everyone!!! 🤓🤓🤓📖📚📖📚📖📚
And yes I am still working on this book. I am slow! Haha #NWC

Still trying to get my book pick done for #NWC. While I'm listening to it, I'm trying to get the Weekly Check-Ins done for the groups. I apologize for it being so late in the day. I had zero energy and felt alittle sick for most of the day. I just laid on the couch and watched some shows like a 🧟♀️. But I will get them up before midnight my time. 🤞🤓👩💻

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I very much liked this funny book about a major shopaholic in extreme debt. Even though Rachel is horribly frustrating mostly because she‘s always lying, the book is written in a very funny style and each scenario made me want to find out how she was going to ever get herself out of such a mess. I read this with #novelwatchingcrew #NWC as an August Chick Lit pick!
A couple of my friends and I decided to start a book club/buddy read and this is our first book! I‘m pretty sure it‘s a reread for all of us, which will be fun. I‘m a few chapters in and I think I hate the main character Becky? Hoping I remember what I liked about her the first few times I read this!
Oh my goodness guys!
I had a dream last night that I was at a bookstore browsing my little book lover heart away, going through the seemingly endless rooms full of books, when I was RUDELY awakened by my alarm before I could buy anything! 🙄
Guess a trip to a real bookstore is in order. 😒
I don‘t read nearly enough #funny books, it seems. The last funny book I read was a Sophie Kinsella, so I‘m tagging the book that started it all! I loved the first several books in this series. #SelfImprovementSept
I was a bit of a shopaholic this weekend (and I never am!) Not only did I buy new clothes for a wedding next weekend, but I got some great bookish items that I know Littens will appreciate! A letter box for all the #LitsyLove and #JB mail I've been getting, more candles from Waxspurts, some fancy pens, and this adorable stationery portfolio with a clipboard and lined paper inside. Can't wait to use it at a big meeting I have coming up on Tuesday!
I thought of Becky Bloomwood immediately for #MyFavoriteMistake ...she‘s always bumbling around, getting into hysterical situations, one of which is her first encounter with Luke Brandon. I read the first several in this series in my 20s, and I really want to get back to them. #LilithJuly
