Makes me so excited for Ren season (she says, actively building her replacement outfit). I might read the next few on those vibes alone, but I heard book 2 is a catfishing romance? We‘ll see…

My Goodreads goal for 2025!

This was fine .. I was annoyed at the MC and thought the motivations were a bit sketchy. I liked the setting of the ren fair. If you want a super light romance with about 2 sexy scenes this one is for you.

Well Met is very easy to read. Emily‘s sunny nature makes for delightful narration (without ever becoming grating), and the plot is perfectly paced. Meh. I liked the renaissance faire fun, but the plot had serious pacing issues. We hate Simon, we love &Simon, we‘re not talking to Simon at all, it was hard to get behind the very quick swings. I liked Emily rediscovering her worth, standing up for herself, and discovering family and friends that helped her create a new home.

Nope. This isn‘t bad, it‘s just painfully predictable, and I‘m finding it really irritating. Also I‘m 1/3 of the way through and not rooting for these characters to get together yet. Next.

Remains one of my favorite romance novels. Simon and Emily's chemistry is just SO good, and I love how they want to make each other better. And nothing beats a Ren Faire! #contemporaryromance

This is a cute enemies-to-lovers romance with great spice—but hands down the best part was the Renaissance festival setting! The main characters‘ individual emotional challenges dragged on a little long for me, but this was a fun romance overall.

Next up 📖 Hoping I enjoy this one as I always love a good series book!! 💗

That was a pretty cute romance read. We went to our first Renaissance Fair last week, so it felt extra fun to read a book on the same topic. I will continue with other books in this series.

Cute Rom Com, enemies to loves with Renaissance Faire flair. Wasn't too much angst or wanting to scream at the main character so that is always a good thing 🤣

This book is technically part of a trilogy but can be read as a standalone.

This was a super cute enemies-to-lovers rom-com set at a small town Ren Faire. Simon and Emily's banter becomes flirtation when they are in character at the Faire. Are they just playing a part or is it something more? I related to Emily, who struggles with insecurities and asking for what she wants. I'm adding this and the next two books to my #SeriesRead2022 @TheSpineView

This was a fun read! Emily stays with her sister and niece to help out after her sister is in a car accident. She has to volunteer to help with the summer Renaissance Faire in order for her niece to be involved.

Taking a break from Fight Night for romantic comedy from the library. It‘s light and that‘s my mood. There are some ‘chonky‘ bits, especially when main character refers to herself and her feelings, but I have laughed out loud

How I spent my Sunday. I stayed away from social media and read the whole book in one day. I haven't done that in a few years. It was the perfect light frothy romance I needed and I loved it. Despite this typically being my least favorite genre, I really enjoyed it. Emily moves in with her sister after, her sister has a car accident to help take care of her and her niece. Then to make her niece happy she agrees to join a Renaissance Fair for the summer. Love and chaos ensues also hot guys dressed as pirates or in kilts 💚

Finding love at the Ren Fen was a super easy read, very predictable, and it matched my reading mood …Back in the 80s and the for first three years of my marriage we spent weekends from Labor to Columbus Day in a booth at the KC Ren Fen - and the rest of the year preparing for it. It was fun and our next booth neighbors remain among my closest friends. …And omg my RenFen mugs are 40 years old!

This romance was so sweet. Emily is spending her summer in Willow Creek to help out her sister after a car accident. She ends up having to volunteer in the community's renaissance fair so her niece can also participate. Over the course of the summer Willow Creek turns into home, as she starts having feelings for the ren fair's organizer Simon.

Lately I‘ve been finding myself reading a rom-com between fantasy books. They‘re a nice palate cleanser before I dive back into another unknown world, I guess. Well Met was a fun and cute read - from the setting (small town summer renaissance fair) to the characters (Emily and Simon and all their love/hate banter and flirting). The best kind of summer read right here!

I never would have guessed a book taking place at a renaissance faire would be my thing, but this book has sucked me in so much I want to take a sick day and just read! I have to find out what happens with the black leather clad pirate...

So I‘ve been in a contemporary romance kinda mood lately, and I read The Hating Game by Sally Thorne and The Unhoneymooners by Christina Lauren. They‘re both great, fun reads, but this one I feel is gonna easily become one of my favorites. I‘m only a 2 chapters in and I‘ve already laughed out loud like 3 or 4 times. And I already love the main character, her sense of humor and her love for and protectiveness over her niece.

My first DNF in a long time.. idk if it‘s just the fact that I‘m not in the mood for a corny rom com or if I just didn‘t enjoy the story line, but I bailed about 25% in. 🤷🏻‍♀️ Maybe I‘ll give it ago again some day..

This was really cute! Thanks @LiteraryinLititz for lending it! Gave me major drama club flashbacks, for better or worse LOL. I felt badly for how insecure Emily was, and I felt like as a reader I was able to predict all the times she misread things, but I still really enjoyed it! Would totally read other books by DeLuca.

Proud of myself that I finished two books yesterday! I enjoyed this one a lot more than The Switch. This book could easily have been overly cheesy or dramatic, given the Ren Fair setting, but I thought the author did an excellent job of incorporating the theatrical Ren Faire elements without it seeming silly. Also, it was refreshing to see a realistic timeline for the love interests and them finally realizing their feelings for each other.

I did open this yesterday but then I spaced in posting (New Year‘s hangover anyone else??) @A_planNerd this was a great box!! I love the fuzzy socks and bath stuff is my jam and all these books sound soooo good! Thanks for making my New Year‘s quit a lot better! (PS I didn‘t take pictures of the wrapping but it was GORGEOUS!!) #bestof2020
