I enjoyed this one! It hooked me and kept my attention from start to finish.
On the road for work...thank goodness I brought my kindle, since I finished the book I brought!
There seems to be a lot of mediocre reviews for this one, but I was entertained! It feels a lot like a Liane Moriarty novel where it revolves around one dramatic event and you're waiting for the truth of the events to unfold. I was a bit thrown by the ending, but it wasn't bad, just surprising.
If you like a mindless read with scandal, this is perfect for you!
It‘s all fun and games at Hannah‘s sweet 16, until she and her friends break the rules. What results is a true test of morality and friendship.
A friend told me to read this so I did. I didn‘t love it, I didn‘t hate it. It‘s definitely one of those quick summer reads that holds your attention by the pool. #foolishgames #lilithjuly
I think back on my teenage years and wonder if the books are way off or if I was just totally blind to this stuff happening around me. I wasn't popular but I wasn't unpopular either. I was somewhere in between, it wasn't an awful place to be. Is this extreme popularity the make you or break kind a real thing... anyone have experience with this?
Book 28: I‘ve never read a book where all the main characters were just genuinely awful people... but I strangely liked it. Moral of this story- don‘t have children because teenagers are awful and will ruin your life. (Joking... sort of)
This book was a bit nothing to me. Just a series of shit things happening. I kept waiting for a twist or an amazing ending, but it was nothing but consistent the whole time. Still an easy quick read though
When an innocent sweet sixteen party goes horribly wrong, questions about culpability are raised, a bitter lawsuit ensues, and secrets are revealed. The Party immediately grabbed my attention and kept me interested, and it was shaping up to be a pretty solid domestic thriller. However, the ending was a major letdown and it was lacking in suspense and tension. I loved Harding‘s other book, Her Pretty Face, but this one was meh. #LitsyAtoZ #LetterP
Everyone‘s a critic! Lots of unlikable characters. And is microdosing really that big of a deal to these wealthy bastards? Still, I liked the writing and found this to be an enjoyable way to pass a rainy day.
I‘m back. What have I missed? 🍿
One teenage girl‘s slumber party led to a terrible tragedy. Lots of family drama, teenage angst, substance use and the horrible effects of bullying in this one. But it‘s hard for me to enjoy a book when I didn‘t like any of the characters. They all seemed selfish and superficial.
This wasn‘t what I was expecting and at times I felt like I was reading a YA book. It was a quick, fast read but I didn‘t particularly enjoy it. The characters weren‘t likeable or relatable and the twist I was hoping for, to redeem it, never came. Despite that, it wasn‘t terrible, the author has a nice writing style but it‘s definitely not the must read I was hoping for. If you‘ve got it already it‘s worth a read but I wouldn‘t go out and buy it.

Wheeee! Look what was in my #secretsantagoespostal box! Lots of yummies and a stack of books I'm super excited about. Particularly THE PARTY. Thank you so much, @LauraJ !!!!
4⭐️It‘s scary how quickly your life and that of your family can be altered forever. With the turn of every page, THE PARTY reveals multiple lives spinning out of control by lies, deception and cover-up. ROBYN HARDING‘s writing is smooth and easy to read. It‘s about what really happened at the party that night. It‘s a parent‘s worst nightmare. https://lharvey250.tumblr.com/post/168111726894/the-party-robyn-harding-my-ratin...
This is my family‘s Friday the 13th. I got a crown on my tooth this morning, my husband is home sick, one child is home sick, one child broke his hand, one child had a flat tire, another child has car trouble and has to borrow one of the grandparents truck tomorrow. (We have 6 kids, so two had good luck today) I‘m finally sitting in bed with the pupper. #IsThisDayOverYet?
This book definitely kept me interested; however, I just didn't care much for the characters. Kim was over-bearing and cold. Her husband was distant. The story had me thinking a lot about the teenage years and how to parent in a way that is present but not smothering...
Great book i really enjoyed it!! Great twist at the end that has left me with many questions.....😊😊
