Never Look Away: A Thriller | Linwood Barclay

This has been sitting on my TBR shelf for so long and it‘s one of those ones that after I read I think why did I not get to this sooner! It‘s not your typical murder mystery which I usually strictly read, but they‘re a plot twists along the way, and it gets you guessing.

October reads! Hopefully I get to finish these quite quickly so I can squeeze in the rest of boy swallows universe, which I‘ve been slowly getting through for MONTHS!

This is such a good book, which I was not expecting, so pleasantly surprised. Definitely stick to it the whole way through. I did get STRONG Madeline McCann vibes though, so not the most original storyline

Really slow to start I did not think I would like it, however it did pull me in, and made up for the slow start.

This is so incredibly boring. I was waiting for the moment it made the long draining process worth it... it never came. Impressed I finished it to be honest.

I love Shari lapena books. Her writing style is easy to glide through, the characters are easily distinguishable so it‘s easy to get sucked in from the beginning. I was REALLY close to to picking the murderer this time, but alas.. no cigar. I‘m getting better though 😂

I was hooked after the first few pages. I fell in love with them all, I laughed and cried. It‘s got so many lines that I wanted to highlight and remember forever. It‘s as beautiful and it is cool and edgy

Such a cute and quirky idea for a book. Defiantly original, and I got through it pretty fast. I just found my brain wandering at times, and getting characters confused quite easily.

So Agatha Christie I could read these books forever. The definition of a murder mystery. Another whodunnit that I didn‘t pick at least not confidently

If you have a weak stomach I do not recommend. This book is so graphic! It is also amazing, exciting, emotional and impossible to put down!

ShyBookOwl Thanks for the warning! I found Blindsighted a little too graphic but loved The Good Daughter! This one was on my TBR but I may not read it. 2mo

Amazing crime fiction. I couldn‘t put it down. The topics brought up are really moving. Really makes you think about life in the 70s as a minority.

I couldn‘t put this book down. It‘s fast paced and makes you desperate to know what‘s going on. I read this pretty fast and was definitely shocked by the ending. There are still a few questions left unanswered but nothing crucial to the story just a little annoying.

If this was half it‘s size it would be 2x better! I loved the story line, and the list of suspects that you chop between, plus the past tense story you‘re kept guessing as to what happened. But it just went for so long I wasn‘t as invested as I could have been.

Either my obsession with thrillers has given me an amazing talent of knowing how a book is going to end or I‘ve been on a string of really predictable books. Nice quick read, but obvious what‘s happened from the start

And I couldn‘t say I didn‘t give it a good go, but the trilogy is the worst thing I decided to do. It‘s really quite a bad story line 😅

I picked this up in a hospital waiting room while I was waiting to get seen for a broken bone. It was the best option of a bad bunch of old romance novels, and I should have gone with the romance 😅 it would not have been finished if the wait wasn‘t so long 👎🏼

I always say I only like phycological thrillers, and every now and then I accidentally pick up something with time travel or different realms or some sci Fi aspect and absolutely love them! I think I have to add more into my list because I‘m always surprised at how much I get invested in them. This is a really darling story
