I‘m always up for a Jane Austen retelling, and this one is an #lgbtq+ retelling of Emma. It‘s my pick for #readordonate for May!
pickGeorgiana finds a body outside of Kensington Palace, and has to figure out how it got there and why. The deceased has been a mistress to many, including some of the royal family and members of Parliament, so Georgie's investigating has to be very discreet.
I have really enjoyed reading this series, but didn't really like the previous book. So I was very glad that this one had an interesting storyline again.

I‘ve decided Always will double as my #ReadOrDonate book for May since it‘s been on my shelf for so long.
pickThis was an odd book but it did pack a punch! It‘s for sure a huge metaphor for how much moms give to their children, as well as what they‘re expected to give. It‘s so well written and Baker does a great job writing suburban thrillers!

pickThis was an entertaining ghost story set in Baton Rouge, Louisiana (my state). Sissy is a tarot card reader who can tell the future. Thanks to her nephew, she ends up mixed up with ghosts at the Red Hotel. It was recently reopened, and the ghosts are not happy.
The ending is nuts 🖤
