I ate this Lotus Biscoff Cheesecake without the cheese 🧀🧀 while I listened to Matt Haig. I decided to use Greek yogurt which I absolutely love, in place of cheese in this recipe because the price of cheese is prohibitive in my corner of the world. It turned out really divine 😋😋😋
Habit tracking also keeps you honest. Most of us have a distorted view of our own behavior. We think we act better than we do. Measurement offers one way to overcome our blindness to our own behavior and notice what‘s really going on each day. One glance at the paper clips in the container and you immediately know how much work you have (or haven‘t) been putting in. When the evidence is right in front of you, you‘re less likely to lie to yourself
Salut...Starting now with an afternoon snack of home made cookies and milk. I think I'm in for the best Friday afternoon ever.
What do you do on Sundays? Have a wonderful one.
Always😏
Which is your favorite bookish luxury? Mine is reading a sequel right after a cliffhanger 😊
I knew that was ridiculous, that abusers often went for the trophy girlfriend, and then ground them down. Perhaps half the triumph was in slashing down the tallest poppy.
1. My Litsy handle comes from my blog, fictionaddictbookblog. Thoug I'm more active here than on the blog these days.
2. Love to listen to audiobooks while baking and walking.

I really enjoyed reading this particular one. So many twists you wouldn't see coming. ?? to Liv Constantine.
Amber Parrish's plan to check out the Delacroix painting of Liberty Leading the People at the Louvre in Paris struck me as being appropriate and felicitous given her new found independence and wealth.
Started this one today and I love it. It's been raining 🌧🌧🌧 cats and dogs since 4am and it's the perfect weather for reading 📖
Been reading the Camino series back to back and having a good time while at it. However the segue into the capture of slaves from Africa, the conditions they suffered, their jouney to Savannah was quite traumatic to read and reminds me too much of Roots by Alex Haley.
This one has my adrenaline pumping already🥵
They would repeat it for years to come in times of strife: the most fun I've ever had.

Listened while I took a walk this morning and I'm super exhausted now🙄
I listened to the tagged book while I made some mango coulis and I love how it turned out.
Though I'm a bit worried for Frankie since she returned from 'Nam. She's not doing well in the real world and I fear she'll return to the war only to die. Fingers crossed

I love both tea and coffee but I'll choose coffee over tea any day. I prefer audio books only when I have to use my hands to do other things like baking, doing dishes... Yeah that's about it.
Almost through with the Violin Conspiracy and I feel like it shouldn't end. I wonder if there will be a movie based on it.
Sometimes when I can't get enough of the book I'm reading and I've become so attached to the book, I do all other things while reading. I eat while reading, I play the book while cooking, doing dishes , baking, and even taking a shower🚿
Who else does this?
First time learning of this quote by Whoopi Goldberg was from the tagged book.
I've wanted to read There Was A Country for the longest of times but I'm really glad to be reading it now. From what I've read so far it looks like not much has changed since the last 60 years particularly with respect to our politics. 🇳🇬🇳🇬🇳🇬
Current read🙂 and first time reading this author.

“We have an obligation. Things won‘t be better for any of us until they‘re better for all of us.”
“People can tell you they love you three times a day and still treat you any kind of way when it really comes down to it.”
I have known and experienced this quote.
“There is a mythical bird we have here, Anna. We call it sankofa. It flies forward with its head facing back. It‘s a poetic image but it can‘t work in real life.”

African Writers section of a bookshop somewhere in Kigali. I just love the burst of colors🥰😍
It has taken forever for me to post this... my reading wrap for 2023. My goal was to read 52 books and I read 39 book (75%). I'd say it was a good year 😃. I go harder this year.
The weather is quite hot in my corner of the world at the moment so frozen coffee it is.
I've been very busy I didn't get to say Merry Christmas on here. Is it too late to say merry Christmas? Well, I hope you had a merry Christmas and are enjoying the holidays.

Nobody ever knew what had happened inside a marriage apart from the two people in it.
Ps:Been a minute since I posted a quote from a book 📕. I've not read any book in an eternity because I've been super busy and life's been happening to me.
