MIDWINTER MURDER: Fireside Mysteries from the Queen of Crime | 
so-soA book of short stories, some dating back to the 1920s. Hercule Poirot and Miss Marple appear in a few. It has been awhile since I've read any Agatha Christie and I always enjoyed the build up and subsequent investigation relating to the crimes portrayed. As this is not possible in a short story collection I didn't enjoy the tales as much as I would have liked. What you do get is a fine collection where each one can be read in less than an hour.
My last book depository order has begun to trickle in, and I‘m so happy this one made the cut. The hardcover is beautiful 😍 I‘m looking forward to adding this to my winter stack. I was surprised to find a bookmark too, as it seems many people have stopped getting them.

Kicking off my holiday break with a mocha and a mystery. Oh and some cinnamon roasted almonds and Swiss chocolate. I should be cleaning and wrapping gifts…maybe tomorrow!

pickI have a few Christie books on the list this winter to break up my romances a bit. This collection includes short stories from other sources, so most of them were vaguely familiar to me. "Midwinter" is a but of a stretch since some of these barely mention the word snow, but they were still great fun, and a bit like eating a bag of chips since they were so short that I kept reading just one more!! Also IN LOVE with these special editions!!!!

I‘m just starting this collection of seasonal short stories and really enjoying it. It opens with an introduction by Agatha Christie herself about her gluttonous childhood Christmases. 😆
