Magical realism is one of my favorite genres, I can't pick out all the titles here but I have read at least 10 of these.

Congrats on reaching 20K @BennettBookworm My favorite bookstore has to be Powell‘s in Portland Oregon. It‘s huge and always has what I‘m looking for and then some.
My husband just saw me making this post and says my favorite bookstore is “One that‘s open”. 😂.

Just ordered a stack of books I've been looking for - some for ages from Powells. I wish I could just go there, but then I'd go broke. Shipping is free though and they will arrive the day after my birthday. So, happy birthday to me... soon enough.
No trip to Portland is complete without an afternoon getting lost in Powell's... I used extreme self control and walked out with only two books!

Yesterday we went on a road trip to one of my happiest places on earth… Powell‘s Books! Was so caught up in the moment that I didn‘t get any pictures, but here‘s part of my haul.
Since mid April I‘ve been practicing feeling better through retail therapy. I encourage clients to not use this form of therapy but I‘m awful at taking my own good advice 🤷🏻♀️
Pictured are a good size portion of recent book purchases. The lower stack is from an impromptu visit to Powell‘s last Sunday. Books make me feel better. Looking at them, buying and reading them. My favorite form of self care.
Well isn‘t that nice! This lovely little thank you note from Powell‘s was waiting in my mailbox today. I haven‘t placed an order in a while, so I wonder if they‘re trying to encourage me to do so. 😆
