Librarybelle Life has been hectic; no apologies necessary! I think I can relax most of this weekend. I‘ve barely had much downtime the last few weeks, and I have a few things on the horizon that will make it even less the rest of the year. But, it helps pay Zeke‘s medical bills (he‘s doing very well) and distracts from the world at large. I‘ll snatch reading time when I can! Hope all is well with everyone. 20h

Cuilin No apology necessary, life can be that way. Hoping to relax, read and get a little outside time this weekend. Health has been up and down. Med changes, more testing. I‘m boring myself talking about it. 😴 19h

I had hoped to be one month closer to menopause but, alas, this morning I've had to reset the timer to zero again. 😒 On the plus side, I went out and bought my spring-flowering bulbs. Just thinking of all the colour and joy they secretly contain is making me feel better. 16h

TheBookHippie Migraine Clinic Monday. One of my meds side affects are too much so I‘m weaning off it… which will be 😵‍💫 it helped my essential tremor, anxiety, hot flashes and vertigo…. So yah. That‘s me. Otherwise trying to get by in this dumpster fire world and find joy. My sunflowers are starting to open up to show their flower and I am beyond excited. (edited) 16h

dabbe No worries! Life has a way of getting in the way sometimes. 💜🧡💛 Finally got rid of all my sutures on my shoulder and had my first PT yesterday, which went amazingly well. Had to take pain meds later, but still! Looking forward to a walk with Matt & the pups, and a quiet day of reading and college footballs. Such a combo, right? Hope everyone has a lovely weekend. 💜🧡💛 13h

Bookwormjillk Hello! I am waiting in my car for my son to get out of the SATs (testing for college) hoping he doesn‘t get out too soon because I want to catch up on my reading. After that it‘s a beautiful day and I want to be outside as much as possible. 3w

ElizaMarie Husband and I are seeing KPop Demon Hunters sing-a-long. It so cute to see all the kiddos dressed up! But also- we don‘t have kids and hey - it‘s okay and doesn‘t matter! It‘s a great movie with great soundtrack 3w

kspenmoll My family went to Mystic Ct by the shore & indulged in lobster roll( me) & fat belly fried clams( hubby & son)- a last hurrah as I return to work Monday. Beautiful sunny day, if we hit 80 degrees the sea breezes made it seem cooler. I am stuffed & happy! 3w

Eggbeater I had a stressful day yesterday, and I am using this weekend to recover. No news, take-out, PBS, books, online book club, and snuggling with my dog. If I happen to get some chores done, that would be a bonus, but I'm not pressuring myself. 1mo

Librarybelle I think I can finally rest for the rest of the weekend! I still have minor chores to do, and always lots of kitty things to do, but I don‘t have to rush. What a week! Though, once I sit down, I may fall asleep. 😂 1mo

Librarybelle Good morning! It‘s been a crazy week—I started a WFH temp job to help pay for Zeke‘s medical bills, and it‘s been crazy. I like the flexibility to work whenever, but the work is not always available, despite a requirement to work a certain number of hours per week. I need flexibility with Zeke‘s care, so I‘ll see how long I can handle this. 😂 It has really cut back on my reduced reading time. Hopefully I can get a good rhythm soon. 1mo

Librarybelle Thanks, @AllDebooks and @Bookwormjillk ! I am a planner and having to check for work several times a day at all hours of the day is not a good practice for a planner. 😂 That‘s on me. I guess I‘ll consider it a growth opportunity. 1mo

Roary47 I‘m going to try to take back my house in cleaning. Finding my work life balance is always hard for me. I have forms to complete for my kids school, I have work still to do for my job, but today is audiobooks that my library holds are almost up on and cleaning my house that got out of control through the work/school week. 😅 1mo

melissajayne Had friends over on Thursday evening and I was just so drained yesterday. Did basically nothing. I just sat in my chair and watched stuff on my TV and listened to podcasts. Had a good sleep that I just woke up from and feel surprisingly rested and content. 1mo

dabbe I can't believe how jet-lagged I still am from my trip (4 hours ahead in NB). Add to that, I need to relearn how to handle the heat. Since I've been home it's been 113, 115, 118, and 115. The dogs are grumpy because it's too hot to even walk outside. So, I need to stop bitching and find the good. I have a home with AC and pups who love me. What more do I need? 💙🩵💙 1mo

Librarybelle Thanks, @dabbe and @Deblovestoread ! Zeke is doing very well. He had a really rough patch a couple of weeks ago but has really bounced back. He also stopped eating the one food he had been eating but wanted a novel protein food he ate before his diagnosis, and he is so improved on this, acting mischievous at times. He still likes eating during the night, though, so I‘d love some restful sleep at some point! But, I‘d rather this than not have him. 1mo

1.Went to The Bully Bookshop‘s pop up at brunch & scored a couple “blind dates” (I‘m on a buying ban but I told myself it didn‘t count if I don‘t open them yet 😂)
