Full Throttle by Joe Hill is an interesting collection of short stories that range from heartfelt to pure terror.

Strong and creepy stories that play with classic short stories and twist them. Always entertaining.
This is actually my first book of short stories I‘ve read. I‘m not usually a big fan but I love Joe Hill and I really enjoyed the stories in this book. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Short stories are tough me. A bit jarring to be catapulted into a new time and place and characters. I liked this one overall. My favorite was Faun.
Just a little #spooktober thought for ya
The Master
mwahahahaha
This was a great collection of short stories. I loved the intro. Some fabulously creepy stories. My favorites were Dark Carousel and Late Returns.
My finally tally for @DeweysReadathon #deweyoct readathon! About 4.5 hours was audiobook. Overall it was great weekend for some snuggles and putting a dent in this Joe Hill collection 🖤
I don‘t know why I‘m surprised at the range of genres these stories cover. I know Joe Hill can write. I‘m always impressed when short horror fiction yanks me around emotionally and leaves me wrung out. These did that. I thought all of these were solid. My faves were Late Rerurns, All I Care About is You, Mums, and You Are Released. Total pick!!👇🏼
Top three stories, in order: Late Returns, You Are Released, and Throttle. By the Silver Water of Lake Champlain gets honorable mention.
Faun and The Devil on the Staircase were DNFs; Thumbprint and Twittering from the Circus of the Dead I didn't like. In the Tall Grass was ok, a bit unsatisfying.
Everything else, including the intro and notes, were good, solid reads.
Today I signed a job offer making my position permanent 😳
Celebratory 🧁 for everyone! Law library life for life!
Joe Hill is fast becoming an insta buy author for me. This story collection is all wins and no duds, which is a rare thing. Hill pushes the edges of imagination and gore, creating his horrific worlds in spare prose. There are a few creatures, but the scariest characters are humans with no restraint or values. If you love horror, grab this one up soon!

This!! 💞💞
In Full Throttle, Joe Hill calls this amusement park ride the S.S. Fuck No 😂😂😂
I. Am. So. Tired. I‘ve been flip flopping between Full Throttle and The Butterfly Girl all morning but about to take a movie and puzzle break. Gremlins here we come (even though it is a Christmas movie 🤷♀️)
I just really need a coffee 😥
Trued to get into this as an audiobook but am struggling. Anyone read it? Worth it?

#birthdaybookhaul going to Barnes and Noble for books and a pumpkin spice latte has been my favorite birthday tradition of the past few years📚🤓🎂
That feeling only Littens can understand and appreciate-scoring two new books from the library on pub day!!!
New audiobook (and NetGalley ARC). Already love it! 😱😱
Did you write a short story about libraries, Mr Joe Hill?!?! 😲 You're so awesome! 💕📚💕📚
I picked up this much anticipated library hold last night, and I dropped everything else to start it! Super excited! 😍 💕📚 I love most of Joe Hill's works. Adored Nos4a2, Strange Weather, and Horns, but not Heart Shaped Box. I read the first story in this book last night night and LOVED it! Can't wait to keep reading!
Also Maho was kind enough to pose for a litsy picture! 😻 #catsoflitsy #littenkitten #maho
Full of coffee , full of apple cinnamon scone , Full Throttle is coming home with me!
Oh hey, who has two thumbs and is now getting the heck away from this carousel? #thisgirl

This is the Horror/Sci-fi/Fantasy section in the independent bookstore I work at!

So excited this came in this week! I‘ve had it preordered for MONTHS and of course I had to get the signed copy! He‘s a must read for me.
If Stephen King is the King of Horror, then his son Joe Hill must be a prince. My Mom and I were fortunate enough to get to attend Joe Hill‘s author event and signing at our local indie the other night. I have been a fan of Joe‘s since I first read NOS4A2. Here‘s the pic my mom and I took with Joe, since he writes horror it‘s the perfect pic for the #Scarathlon #ChillingPhotoChallenge Horror prompt. #TeamStoker 1 pt participation
My signed copy of Joe Hill's latest arrived today. Hill is an autobuy author & this is my second one signed by him (other is The Fireman). Perfect timing with the release of In The Tall Grass on Netflix this weekend.
Thanks @TrishB for putting out his scheduled tour because I went to see him earlier tonight in Denver. He read us one of his stories, You are Released. He‘s quite a funny guy. My favorite part of his talk was when he said, I‘m paraphrasing, “When you get one of my 400 pg. novels, there was a good chance that it was 700 pgs to begin with, because there is an editing process and I‘m not upset about it but I‘ve gotten good at recognizing the 👇🏼
Finally got my hands on a copy of Joe Hill's latest collection of short stories! So excited to dive in!
In case anyone‘s lucky enough to be able to go! I‘ve met him at an author signing he‘s really nice 👍🏻
#BeatleMaynia Day 4: Yesterday
Ugh, so I could not sleep last night, so I gave up and started this book YESTERDAY (I know it's a little lame, but I'm at an author event at a church and I'm tired and don't have access to my books or the brain cells to be more clever).
